This was our first stay at this motel but probably not our last as we travel this route often. We enjoyed our stay and found nothing to complain about. We wish it was closer to the interstate but it was easy to find and very accessible.

We visited Grand Island for a mini-vacation. Our room was spotless, even the draperies (which can get dusty smelling pretty quickly). The bathroom was in excellent repair. We enjoyed the full breakfast.

This Holiday Inn Express was bright and cheery. We had excellent service and the staff were nice and friendly. We do not have any cons for this particular Holiday Inn Express.

The room was very quiet and clean. The staff was very good. Would highly recommend this HI Express. Only thing we missed was the warm cookies that are usually available. The lady who worked the dining area was very friendly and helpful. She is the type of employee you want greeting eople in the morning.

Upon our arrival, the manager's reception was going on. There were four cars surrounding the entrance and portico that made it impossible to get near the entrance. All of the cars had local license plates. Told the manager and got no help. "Oh, I am sure there are just getting into there rooms." Strange the cars stayed there until the end of the reception and then were gone.
The next parking problem was the workers taking up the closer parking stalls, leaving guests to park further from the entrance.
The stay was as usual, comfortable and relaxing. We stay in this motel several times a year. But, I think we will give Fairfield--next door--a chance next time.

Would be a lot better with on demand movies for close to $200 per night on average. For a pretty new building everything has been worn out already. Terrible staff experience also.

I have stay at 4 Holiday Inn Express this week ... and this is the Best ... by far ... thanks to the stay ... and the decor ... excellent .... plus my IHG have been posted before any of the other ... which have not been posted yet ...

The hotel is newer, up to date, comfortable beds, entrances, workout area, pool and breakfast area. Decorated nicely and the staff are friendly. We stayed in several hotels off I-80 this one served a happy hour snack, soda and or drink. Very thoughtful. Of the 4 hotels we stayed in this was was my favorite.

This hotel was clean & comfortable. The room was spacious - a nice feature as I was traveling with my kids. There was a lot of variety for breakfast, everyone found something they liked. The pool was small, but clean! We enjoyed swimming in it.

Upon checking into this hotel I was not acknowledged for my status as a priority club member. The room was to have a king bed and I was assigned a queen. The front desk was very rude when I asked for a change. Upon getting my luggage out of my car and walking to the room, the room key did not work, when I returned to the front desk there was no apology for the inconvenience. I am a loyal user of the Holiday Inn family, but the experience at this hotel has me re-thinking.

This was a very quiet, comfortable night! On my way from the east coast to the west, Grand Island was a very restful stop. The room was, as expected, clean and neat, the shower refreshing and the breakfast a great start for the day.

We were welcomed with a small gift for priority club; the room was neat, nice and not crowded. We love the breakfast so we could get on the road early.

When we arrived at the Grand Island Holiday Inn Express, we were greeted as both Gold Priority Club members and as return guests to this Inn. We were pleasantly surprised to enjoy free wine and beer, and when we got to our room, it was wonderful. The next morning, breakfast was great, as we've always come to expect from Holiday Inn Express, and the woman attending to the breakfast area was so warm & cheerful and made us feel so very welcome. I'm sure we'll be returning to this Inn many times in the future and would recommend it highly to anyone coming to or passing through the Grand Island, NE area!

my first priority is a clean room and this property was superior on this! maid service was wonderful too. my only complaint about our stay was that although the staff was friendly they seemed to be too uptight and strict about everything, which is understandable in trying to keep everyone in the hotel comfortable but even when there was an empty floor except our wedding party we felt like it would have been alot more relaxing if we could have visited more without things being so strict. overall I would stay here again. Also it is in a wonderful location.

When we showed up to check in, we were treated very bad by the gal (she did not share her name). We arrived at 4:20 and our room was still not ready to occupy. It was clearly posted that check in time is 4:00. We were told that they were full the night before and therefore we had to wait. I'm sorry, but it is not a guests problem if the hotel is full the prior night. We had a fussy baby that needed a nap. We were not able to get our room till 5:30. Absolutely ridiculous. Never once was I recognized as a Priority Club member. I will not be staying at this hotel in Grand Island again. I will go elsewhere.

Booked my room through the main reservation phone line and didn't end up getting the room I was quoted. The young lady at the front desk was rude and less than helpful to say the least. Nice property but they could use a refresher course in customer service!

The front staff, the maids, everyone was extremely nice & accommodating. The only down side was when we were relaxing and enjoying our hot tub time, the pool maintenance gentleman struck up a conversation. At first it was very pleasant but he turned it into a political thrashing. My husband several times tried to tell him that we just choose to disagree but he kept pushing it. When I was on vacation time, it just seemed bad that we had to get upset about this. He was a nice enough gentleman but did not seem to know when he should drop a subject. He came back after we broke off the conversation, twice. Once he seemed to be trying to apologize but found himself going back to the conversation. The second time he just seemed to be trying to make small talk so that we would forget everything else.
I do not believe a staff member should walk up to guests and ask them what they do for a living or start political conversations. We all have bad days, I understand that, but he carried this to an extreme in our opinion. We just wonder how many other customers he has done this with. Not a positive for the site.
