My wife and I felt very comfortable and safe while staying in the Holiday Inn Express. Great amenities and service was provided by all.

Joslyn in the Breakfast room was just a delight! She was prompt with service of the area and carried on a conversation with most everyone in the room. There was a snow storm at the time that I was there and Joslyn knew all about the conditions. She even helped some of the travelers with alternate routes to their destinations.

This is a very nice hotel, in keeping with the standard of new HIEs in the US. However, the room we were in should not be used. It is noisy - the sound of water in the pipes and the hotel laundry next door.
We liked the room and hotel but our stay was spoiled by the noise levels within the room (we unfortunately had noisy neighbours above us in 200 as well) and by the attitude of a staff member who denied that there was a laundry anywhere near the room. Not a great way to treat an already disgruntled guest.
This won't stop me staying at HIEs in future - we're usually very happy with our stays in them - but I wouldn't chose this hotel in this location again.

I have never been so disappointed in a Holiday Inn Express. We have stayed at these hotels for the past 20 years and this was the most disappointing. We asked for and reserved a handicapped room as we had a wheelchair bound guest with us. The room was not handicapped accessible and couldn't even get the wheelchair into the bathroom. When we complained to the staff they simply said that they didn't have a handicapped room and walked out the door saying "have a nice evening". This is totally unacceptable and will probably hesitate to keep staying in Holiday Inn Express.

We have been Priority Club members with HIE for some time now and always find our stays with them to be very comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

The hot tub temp needs to be turned up a few degrees. It's like sitting in a warm bath and not very therapeutic. Been here 3 times and each time it's been like that. Had noisy neighbors. I think they put everyone on the same floor and on the same wing. Hotel wasn't that busy so I don't see why they couldn't spread it out better. Bed spread had a stain on it.

We were kept awake by a recalcitrant child into the wee hours of the morning and I finally had to go to the room and asked that they please keep it quiet. Of course this was not the fault of the hotel. So, my suggestion for IHG is to place families with children at one end of the facility and single or double booked at the other.

We enjoy this holiday inn every time we stay. We come for business, biking, basketball and to visit family about 6 times a year and every time it is great. Very clean, always honors requests, nice staff and so convienent to everything in junction.

I stayed at this hotel about two years ago when looking at real estate in the Grand Junction area. My kids and I had a wonderful experience and decided to come back Christmas eve of this year. (We have no family close by and the kids thought spending the evening swimming and a change of scenery would be fun). This stay was QUITE different from the get go. The front desk lady at check in was so incredibly rude and snotty that we almost walked out the door and went home. We had the room reserved for about a week and a half and we were at no time told that the owner "doesn't like to rent rooms to locals". We were made to feel like scum..that didn't deserve to stay at this hotel.
The rest of the stay was ok. Breakfast was as expected. The only other thing that struck me as odd was that I've of the maintenance guys thought he needed to watch my kids swim even though I was sitting there with them the whole time. It made my 12 year old daughter uncomfortable. I hope no-one else is treated this poorly.

we always stay at this location when coming to town, this time we had a couple issues
sewer fumes coming from faucet drain
cigarette smell in room
plugged shower drain
they fixed the shower drain, attempted to corrected room smell but the sewer smell wasn't fixed
I received a $10 compensation for a 2 day stay.. I was a bit disappointed to say the least and will now find another place to stay

The Hotel is very nice and has just been renovated. Room was comfortable and what we have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express.
Disappointed that we were not offered an upgrade to a suite as a Platinum member.
Breakfast items were plentiful, although they could use a few more healthy options.
Local area has many restaurants and staff was helpful in giving us directions. Supermarket with discount gas station across the street is a plus.
Only issue was that we were there during a High-School Band State Competition. Lots of kids and noise. Slamming doors till late and again early AM. I will be sure and check next time before I stay.

Upon check in with a reservation might add I waited for 32 minutes at the service desk waiting for the desk clerk to come back to the front desk and then I took my 3 children swimming and there were no towels in the pool room so I went to the front desk to ask for towels and waited 15 min again for the desk clerk to come back to the front desk and then she had serious attitude issues saying she was the only person there and people need to learn to be patient and 20 minutes after I asked for towels she finally brought 3 towels into the pool room...and might I add that I didn't get there to check in until 9pm so it's not like it was rush hour and while I was waiting 4 other families came in to get a room but 2 families left because of the poor service and if I didn't already pre pay I would have done the same thing

This hotel appears to have had recent renovations and is beautiful! The bed was good and comfy and the carpet has more spring in it than usual giving it a wonderful "foot-feel". We'll be back here the next time we're in town!!

Our suite was exceptionally well maintained. The beds were expertly made. Loved the large bed pillows. As a non-smoker, I especially enjoyed a room that had no lingering cigarette smells. As it was cold weather outside, the room heater performed beautifully. The large flat screen TVs with cable had great resolution, color and clarity.
The lobby and common areas were also well maintained. The dining area was bright, cheery and spacious. The information rack with brochures for local area attractions was neat and orderly. The parking areas were well lit and properly maintained with parking spaces highly visible.
The swimming pool area was clean and orderly. The water was crystal blue and the hot tub was very inviting. The clorine smell was not overpowering outside the pool area.
A large shopping mall across the street with popular restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores and banks gives this Inn a walking score of 10. The Inn's location to the downtown area is less than a ten minute drive.
The staff were courteous, well mannered, knowledgable and accomodating at all times. Check out was very quick with their streamlined express check out procedures. You just drop off your pass cards and you are out the door.
