Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hope you don't plan on watching TV here. Ok, I was here for one night. Not a big deal, hotel was clean, bed was ok, that's all that really matters. BUT, I had plans for a somewhat early dinner to be back in time to watch 2 of my favorite shows. 1 on FX the other on History channel. Neither of which this hotel offers. In fact, they offered 20 channels, 5 of which were some version of ESPN. Fox and NBC did not even work. Even basic cable has the history channel, no? So if you choose not to watch ESPN, you can watch HBO, CBS, ABC, or USA, TNT,TBS, or Oxygen. That is about it. Sure I am missing a few, but there ones I never watch or heard of. I was disappointed enough I will not be back. When travelling for work by myself, all I have to do at night is watch some tv. If you take that away from me, I will just go elsewhere. Here is some advice, look into direct tv, it is wonderful! (no I don't work for them) Breakfast was the usual HIE fair. Rock hard biscuits, overly dry eggs, I went across the road to Bob Evans. I will pick a different hotel on my next trip to Grand Rapids. March 26, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Excuses I checked in for my stay and immediately noticed the advertised WI-FI wasn't working. I was in need of this service, and asked the front desk if there was a problem. They denied a problem with the WI-FI and instead, insinuated that I wasn't able to connect properly. Within an hour, there were numerous complaints at the front desk and again, I was given the excuse that when too many people are on it, it doesn't work. REALLY? This is a hotel, not a private residence. The bed was horribly lumpy and hard to sleep on. The shuttle driver was late the morning I departed...he forgot about the time change..(daylight savings time). I'm sure the airlines didn't forget, and were still planning on flying at the correct time! It was nothing but excuses from the staff, until the morning I departed. The desk clerk, on 8 March 2015, Brandy, was exceptional. She did everything in her power to insure we got a ride to the airport and was even trying to help other guests who were late due to the shuttle driver not being there. I will not stay at this location again, and only stayed here originally because it was one of the IHG properties. There are other hotels! March 12, 2015
