Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by breakfast only real issue was breakfast quality and variety. eggs too dry and fake tasting. would like cheese for eggs. would like fresh fruit other than apples. maybe different melon, grapes, pineapple, etc. sausage bland with only pepper taste. would like to have waffle maker instead of pancakes. oikos yogurt good choice. other juice choices please. bed very comfortable. great staff. have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and Welcoming I stay at this location at least twice per year for multiple days at a time. I love the reception and dining area. It's welcoming and cozy. It feels a little like a lodge somewhere in the mountains. The staff are always friendly. Even though it is a short ways south of Grand Rapids, it's still within reach without ending up in a major commercial area. Access to the 196 is close at hand and you can be downtown in less than 20 minutes. November 19, 2014

The room was clean and the common areas were extremely welcoming and well kept. The staff was accommodating and helpful. This hotel may become our home away from home if our daughter selects the college. Very good stay! November 13, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, quiet, off the beaten path As a IHG Platinum member, I expected to be asked about a room upgrade, but instead I was down graded to standard King room with no adjustment in price. I did ask for the 3rd floor instead of the first floor and was given the King standard room, in place of the King jacuzzi I originally had. I would of liked a cost adjustment at least. I didn't seem to matter that I was a Platinum member. November 3, 2014
