Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good stay but not quite a good value for price paid This hotel was renovated in the last few years. Everything worked well and the staff did their best to accommodate our needs. We felt that the breakfast food choices did not measure up to the remainder of the hotel. The egg omelets are a let down and should be scrapped. Scrambled eggs everyday would be better. Also the vanity lighting in the bathroom is not bright enough. Even though energy efficient florescent bulbs are used they need to be a higher wattage. June 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent staff Over the past 2 months I have had business in Grants Pass and have stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, with a 3rd week coming up. I was told by some co-workers to stay in Medford and drive in, since there were more hotel choices in Medford, but I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express properties in the past and was always satisfied. The Grants Pass property is no exception. The staff in the hotel, from the front desk, to the breakfast area, to the maid service is excellent. They are friendly and genuine in their desire to make your visit a pleasant one. In my first week at the property, I stayed in a room that had a particularly comfortable bed. The next week I was in a different room and while the bed was not uncomfortable, it wasn't quite as good as the first room. I requested my original room for an upcoming stay next week and the manager promptly got back to me, although my original room was already booked, he was able to put me in a similar room with a similar bed, That is going above and beyond to make a customer happy and I really appreciated the effort. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is passing through and needs a clean, comfortable room and a friendly face to greet them. June 23, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't stay here! Check in was very quick and friendly just like previous stays. Rooms are nice and breakfast is normal. In morning as I was loading the car my wife stopped to talk to a housekeeper working on a room a few feet from ours on the other side of the hall, she was giving the housekeeper a gratuity and having a brief conversation. One of the other housekeepers (head of housekeeping) came in form a break and told my wife not to talk to the housekeepers while they were working. As we were checking out I asked when the GM would be in next and I was told Monday morning, she asked if there anything she could do and my wife started to explain what happened. The Head housekeeper came from around the corner and started to defend her actions and the employee at the front desk also started to defend the action of this employee and argued with my wife repeating what was said previously “the housekeeper was working and should not be talking” or something to that effect. We left before this conversation turned into an argument. In the last four and a half years I have spent over 650 night in hotels and great many with IHG properties and I have had employee of a hotel argue with a guest, needless to say I was shocked. It is my understanding that all employees in any business that deals directly with customers or guest are responsible for customer service including housekeeping and I have never seen employee treat a guest that way and then two employees argue with a guest as if they were in the right. It seemed as if they believed we were there for them and not the other way around, they don’t seem to understand there are at least two dozen other hotels and motels within 40 minutes of this hotel. A clean room and good price are only as good as the customer service, if you don’t have all three then what’s the point. No customer no sales, no sales no profit, no profit no job. My other concern is how the head housekeeper was treating this employee, demeaning, rude and disrespectful. I got the impression the employee my wife was talking to was going to get blamed for this and that’s unacceptable! She was doing her job including being nice to a guest. I felt it was right to contacted General Manager of the hotel directly and I was not surprised when he blamed us for the issue, it seems the other managers/supervisors on the property take after the General Manager. It’s the customer that’s the problem. My advice, stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Central Point (25 minutes south of Grants Pass. June 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly personnel and very clean I brought my cat in a carrier and all employees wanted to see and talk to her. We had a nice quiet evening of watching tv which I enjoyed without having any exterior noise. Holiday Inn Express is by far my go-to hotel. June 19, 2016
