Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Had Enough I travel for business a lot and we frequently use Holiday Inn Express. This location is not up to par. The management is argumentative, beds were not properly made (missing sheets), trash behind the furniture (I noticed when I plugged in my charger), and I had to wait on the front desk girl to finish her smoke break in the front doorway to get her assistance. Not professional or what you would normally expect from this chain. We will be looking for a new hotel for our trip next year. Too bad April 17, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Back Again I don't know why we keep booking this hotel for business because there is always something not right for our party. Rooms are below par for Holiday Inn Express….not clean, beds not properly made (missing sheets), argumentative management and unfriendly front desk staff (had to wait on smoke break to be helped by front desk girl). This is about the 8th year we have used this hotel for this business trip (we try to use Holiday Inn Express everywhere we go) but I hope this was the last. April 16, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing night. Greeted warmly upon arrival. Room was clean and inviting. Comfortable night. Breakfast was ready on time. My choices were limited by my Vegan dietary habits. Most People would be well satisfied. Warm farewell upon check-out. I will be back next ski season. Or whenever I have a reason to be in Great Barrington, MA. March 25, 2015

Some areas of the room needed attention, mainly the shower heads. Other areas, such as cold breakfast, were not what I have come to expect from HIE. I assume that this was just an anomaly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to rest up before or after a day of skiing. I stayed here recently with my son on an overnight trip to for a day of skiing. Check-in was a breeze and the distance from the parking area to the lobby to the room was nice and short. Everything about our stay was very good. The room was clean and had a very neutral odor- no cleaning products or anything like that. The condition of the furniture, walls, ceiling, paint, etc. was all very good and showed little if no sign of wear. The bathroom was also very clean although the tub had some stains- but nothing off-putting. My only complaints for the room were that the heater/air conditioner was a bit noisy as it cycled on and off and there were no black-out curtains in the windows that could be drawn- just a sheer curtain that does little for privacy/light- and we were on the ground floor. I thought that was a little odd. We faced away from the parking lot so it wasn't a huge deal, but still- a bit weird that the windows could not be covered fully. Breakfast in the morning was very pleasant in the nicely appointed dining area- complete with colorful fish tank (good for the kids) and a working fireplace (gas fire?). The food was what you would expect for a free continental breakfast but Frank the host was fantastic with the kids and very attentive and friendly. All in all, a great experience and we will definitely stay again in the future. March 16, 2015
