I travel to this area often for business. I usually stay at another hotel, however it was completely booked for this particular stay. I opted for the Holiday Inn Express due to previous experiences.
The staff was very friendly, housekeeping was fantastic, however the breakfast selection was substandard, the internet speed was so slow I couldn't stay connected and I had to leave and find a local Starbucks to work from, and the beds were perhaps the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on in a hotel.
Not being able to sleep in a hotel defeats the purpose of being there!

First and foremost if there is work being done at the hotel I would have preferred that the website have stated so I could have chosen to stay elsewhere if I so wished. Upon arrival to check in I was advised that the hotel was having carpets done and cleaned and then was asked when they could come in to complete the room I was going to be in. AFTER I check out is the appropriate response as I am PAYING to stay in the room , not stay out of it so you can get maintenance done. Do a floor at a time if you need to but don't inconvenience your guests with noise and a request for when you can get into my room. Second I made the reservation with the credit card I wanted to utilize but when my husband checked in on my behalf he was asked to provide a credit card which this morning we realized that his card was charged and not my business card since I am staying here on Business meaning that this morning I had to speak to the front desk to get the charges reversed and corrected. The person at the desk whom from his nametag I "believe" was a manager wasn't very friendly and did the change yes but his customer service skills are to be desired if he is in fact a manager. Hospitality should be your focus, make us feel like we are at home and welcome not that we are inconveniencing you to do the job you are getting PAID to do. Third, arrival to the breakfast room resulted in no eggs, hard biscuits, 1 turkey sausage that looked like a cold piece of cardboard, cinnamon rolls that were just put out and not warm, no coffee, the pancake machine not working and orange juice that tasted like water with about a drop of orange in it. After waiting a bit for anymore food to come out after I asked the breakfast room attendant (whom was the nicest person I can across so far and was doing her best with the volume of guests) I went to the front desk to ask where there was somewhere else to eat breakfast due to the unavailable/poor options they provide. I was told of 2 restaurants nearby by an older gentleman whom also needed skills on customers service and hospitality. When I was up at the desk getting my bill reversed and corrected he said "have a good day" to a few guests coming and going but so quietly I doubt anyone heard it. Neither of the gentleman at the front desk had a personality or even offered a "sincere" apology or asked what they could do to make my visit better. Heck just tell me there are fresh eggs coming out and make an effort. I have stayed at ALOT of HIE across the country over the past 10yrs and this was by far the worst thus far. Please just make your guests feel welcome and if you are very busy have someone help the breakfast room attendant to keep up better on your breakfast room. Needless to say normally I would stay in my room to enjoy it until checkout time but its 9am and I'm leaving without even taking a shower to go eat breakfast elsewhere and move on with my day.

disappointed that hot tub was walled off due to damage from vandalism. all guests should not be punished due to the act of one person.

This is not a casual review. The staff was excellent and friendly. The rooms were quiet and the beds were soooo comfortable.Breakfast was very good and delish!

This property was clean and well lite.
The staff was very easy to work with and made are stay very comfortable.
When traveling we use Holiday Inn Express quite frequently,
First, You always know what you are going to get, Type of room and Cleanliness.
Second, the Guest room always has great beds that make me sleep like a baby after a long day of travel.
Don't change a thing.

Awesome hotel with great rooms. Exterior isn't flashy, but that doesn't matter to me. Rooms are very comfortable. The coffee in the morning (and available all day) is good. Every staff member I've interacted with is friendly.
The water pressure at the hotel is fantastic, along with the shower heads and available temperature. Highly recommend based on this alone.
I've stayed here three separate times in the last few months for work and it has been consistently good.
Only real drawback is the poor internet service. Speeds are slow and experience big drops in the evening when more guests connect to it. It's a rare hotel that has exceptional internet, so I don't fault them too harshly. But for myself internet is more important than many other amenities, thus my removing 2 stars from the rating.
That being said, when my work office books me a hotel in Greeley, I always hope that it's this one.
