Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EXCELLENT Hotel from start to finish!! This is our second stay at this location. We are from the Chicagoland area and checked in on a whim the first time while RV shopping over a weekend. Both times we found the rooms to be spotlessly clean, the hotel itself and the grounds to be in excellent condition and breakfast had enough choices to make both ourselves and the kids happy. The pool area is well kept and ALL the staff we encountered were extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Great bang for your buck for sure!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful property This hotel was immaculately clean, well lit, beautifully decorated with loads of amenities. It was a great location for the conference we attended and location was close to shopping, restaurants and gas stations. The room was quiet, and the comfortable mattress aided sleep. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rock hard beds I like a firm mattress, but not rock hard. Neither of us could get comfortable and I am not normally a picky person with mattresses for one night. Otherwise, it was the normal Holiday Inn Express experience that I trust to be the standard and acceptable. But I stopped because I was travelling and needed to sleep. It seemed the hotel was very short on staff while we were there and it took a long time first of all to find anyone at the desk, then when we requested anything to be brought to the room (cot, towels, extra pillow), it either took too long or we had to remind them a second time. Also, my daughter accidentally left two clothing items in the bathroom, which they claim weren't there. She knows exactly where she left them and described it to a couple of people. They were unable to locate them or return them to her. Very frustrating. Pullout couch bed was TERRIBLE. Cot was great. Bed was average. The extra bedspread had yellow stains on it that kind of grossed us out. Overall, not the best experience. October 7, 2014
