Big HD display now got room at back of building which helps keep noise of taxis, and car doors opening although it was minimal anyway with the DG I'm a very light sleeper. Book in and out easy, fast with loads of info and professionalism and a free varied , healthy breakfast and free Wi-Fi. Best just got better. Thanks to the lads and ladies in attention from reception to maids working hard so you don't have too. November 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrT's experience since April 2013 I have been staying most weeks for 2 nights at the HIX since April 2013. I would say that whilst the hotel, rooms and food are adequate, if not particularly remarkable, what is outstanding is the customer service. I am fortunate (as loyalty has its rewards) to know most of the staff personally so this contributes hugely to what I have always found to be an excellent customer experience. I now usually get allocated a specific room (I won't give the number as it's mine) which helps tremendously with my stay. There is an excellent curry house, the Delhi Deluxe, just across the road where I can often be found on a Tuesday evening. Finally, I would simply say that if there is any problem with your stay then simply let the staff know who will undoubtedly do their best to resolve. If not, simply blame George ... November 8, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant hotel Given that this is part of a mjor chain we were impressed with its layout and general facilites. The hotel and staff are pleasant if not exceptional - providing everything you would expect but not overly excelling in anyway - nice, pleasant, positive and functional. I would recommned the hotel to others - primarily for more business like oriented use than family stays - although for our stay, this was OK the hotel did not jump out as something you think wow. But I would stay there again and be happy to do so at any time. November 5, 2014
