Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Beds not up to HIE comfort standards I am really sorry to have to give such a bad review, but my hope is that this particular location/corporate will remedy the problems. We always choose Holiday Inn Express because of their high quality and comfort of mattresses and bedding, along with heating/air personal options. We have stayed in Holiday Inn Expresses across the nation in large and small cities and have Always been pleased 100%. Hence why we were so very disappointed in the Downtown Greenville hotel, ESPECIALLY since we paid much more for this stay then we normally do at HIE. The beds were the worse we have ever slept on, anywhere.The downtown Greenville location does not comply with the comfort mattresses or bedding that is the trademark of Holiday Inn/Express. The room was hot and we were unable to get the air to go down any further, then where it had been set. We did not get a sound sleep as we normally do at Holiday Inn Express,and the room was not as clean as we have come to expect from HIE, hence we did not book a second night and chose a different hotel. We are Rewards members because we have always experienced excellent sleep and had very positive experiences with HIE while traveling. Again, I hope Downtown Greenville or Holiday Inn Corporate will remedy this problem and make it known that they have, otherwise we will be choosing a different hotel the next time we visit Greenville. Positive note...The young lady at the desk was professional and friendly, and my family liked the breakfast. February 8, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quiet clean and a safe area Title says it all. 10 Minute walk to a dozen restaurants in a beautiful town. Only negative comment was the party next door which the front desk did nothing about. Only happened one night in 7 January 29, 2016

I was disappointed the pool was not indoors or useable in January and there was no hot tub either. The room was very clean and up to date in décor. The beds were average but slept good. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect- within walking distance of many great restaurants and shops! Staying in and visiting downtown Greenville and the riverwalk along the Reedy River was all that my friends had said it would be...and then some...especially with the helpful, friendly staff and excellent accommodations and location of the Holiday Inn Express. I've already told my wife that she needs to go back with me soon so that she can experience firsthand all the wonderful things I told her about. Greenville is a DEFINITE must to add to places one needs to travel! Looking forward to returning soon. January 11, 2016
