Paint fumes and what sounded like hammering during the day was disruptive, I'll stay there again, but I hope the renovation is complete. November 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to relax I highly recommend this hotel after a long day driving. I was returning home after 54 days away from home. A great place to stop over for a good night sleep and location to good real food resatraunts. All within walking distance and right next to the hotel. Hotel also was Highly pleseant to walk into and made a great impression with the grounds and lobby. October 29, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel if you like the smell of cigarette smoke Although I travel that interstate often this was my first stay at the Greenville hotel......and it is my last. I always request a non-smoking room. The young man at the desk recognized me as a IHG Rewards Club Member and he was very cheerful and helpful in advising me about local restaurants. When we exited the elevator on the 2nd floor which was designated a non-smoking floor we encountered the smell of smoke. The smell was very faint once we entered our room. On our way out to dinner I asked him about the smoking policy on the 2nd floor and he was immediately very apologetic. He said that 2 guests on that floor were on a 60 day extended stay and had been given permission to smoke on that floor. Later that evening when we returned to the hotel the smell of smoke was much worse when we exited the elevator. The smokers had used the security latch to keep their door propped open allowing the smoke to billow into the hall. The odor permeated our room throughout the night. At the desk in the morning I expressed my displeasure with the smoke to the manager and he said he was not aware that anyone on the 2nd floor was permitted to smoke. From his expression, demeanor and body language both my wife and myself felt he was being less than honest. No apology was extended. He merely said "I will take care of it". Also, HIE needs to surprise us and change the breakfast menu!! October 17, 2014
