Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Last minute, last room late reservation Although we had not realized when we headed that direction, besides the Masters Golf Tournament in nearby Augusta, there were a couple of sports teams in house and we were grateful to get a room calling about 9:00 p.m. Very pleasantly greeted, recognized as Rewards Club members, the hotel had been completely remodeled since I had been there some years ago.Our room was very nice, and very clean. Everything in place and especially that the light and exhaust fan in bathroom each have their own switch (a real pet peeve of mine when you have to listen to a loud fan every time you go in there) Staff was exceptionally friendly. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Breakfast unsatisfactory Breakfast was to be served between 6:30 and 9:30. At 9:00 there was next to nothing left also the toaster was out of order for 2 days. One excuse was " We were fully booked." This is poor management and a lack of customer service. March 7, 2014

Recognized me as a platinum member and had me on my way with key and password for WIFI in under 3 minutes. Very commendable! Complimentary breakfast, but the items were fairly limited. No fresh fruit any of the 3 mornings I went out, between 8 to 8:30. Was told there had been some at 6:45 and I missed it. February 23, 2014

Mike checked us in and had to come back with new cards, but his manner was so relaxed that I didn't care. GOOD and AMBLE selection of breakfast food. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding facility I needed a night away and enjoyed discovering what Greenwood had to offer. The main attraction for me was the opportunity to play golf at the Star Fort course. This Holiday Inn, though an oddly designed building, is one of the better ones I have visited of late. Everyone was friendly and made me feel at home. The breakfast was typical of Holiday Inn though the individually wrapped bread and pastries seemed odd to me. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. I will definitely stay here the next time I come that way. January 30, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay! Checked into the hotel a little later than I would have liked, but the hotel staff was quick to turn my frustration into a big smile. The front desk staff was awesome and very helpful in finding what I needed in the local area. The only downfall I had was; for the first time in all my travels over the 3 years I had to utilize the wake up call feature on the phone due to my phone almost being dead. however not sure if the phone system had a malfunction in it or if the front desk staff wasnt very versed in using the system, but I requested a wake up call at 6am, however they started coming in around 12:30 am. After the 3rd one I eventually took the phone off the hook and hope my cell phone woke me up in the morning. Other than this issue I will more than happily stay at this up to date hotel again in the future! January 16, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just okay We arrived at the hotel and the front desk clerk was ready with our room keys and check-in. We asked for a non-smoking room and got non-smoking however, it didn't feel like non-smoking when people are smoking on the floor. Would have preferred to be on a non-smoking floor. Our curtains had burn holes in them from possibly cigarette's. Our toilet barely flushed and there was missing trim in the bathroom by the tub. Our fridge was not cold. December 11, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay We were there for the North / South Allstar volleyball game. Our stay was excellent. The room was clean along with the hotel itself. The staff was very accommodating. Extra towels, wash cloths, or soap, whatever we needed was brought to us promptly. Shout out to the lady that worked in the dinning area. I went down one morning to get pancakes but the machine was out so I just got something else and took it to my room, next thing I know, there was a knock on the door and she was standing there with fresh pancakes and syrup. The only negative thing I could post is that our room key expired a couple times and we could not get into the side door. Great stay over all. November 27, 2013

Mike at the front desk at the Holiday Inn Express was the most courteous, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. What I thought would be a couple of nights turned into an 8-night stay. The staff could not have been more kind and accommodating. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Would not give late checkout. Woman rude at checkout. We were in town on business, traveling quite a bit lately. Asked for a late checkout and the woman at the front desk would not give us a late checkout. They were not extremely busy and there were no events coming into town either. It was a Sunday that we were asking for a late checkout so we could relax a bit. We are IHG Rewards Club members and the hotels are usually very nice about giving an extra hour or two. Was quite surprised to see how nice and updated the entire hotel was during my stay. Stayed in king suite which was more than enough room with all the needed amenities.
