Our overall experience was positive with excellent staff and good facilities. Room clean and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay there again on a future visit. November 7, 2013

Mike at the front desk at the Holiday Inn Express was the most courteous, knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. What I thought would be a couple of nights turned into an 8-night stay. The staff could not have been more kind and accommodating. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Would not give late checkout. Woman rude at checkout. We were in town on business, traveling quite a bit lately. Asked for a late checkout and the woman at the front desk would not give us a late checkout. They were not extremely busy and there were no events coming into town either. It was a Sunday that we were asking for a late checkout so we could relax a bit. We are IHG Rewards Club members and the hotels are usually very nice about giving an extra hour or two. Was quite surprised to see how nice and updated the entire hotel was during my stay. Stayed in king suite which was more than enough room with all the needed amenities. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The best of Holiday Inn Express! My brother & I were there for my dad's funeral. We drove from Georgia and the a/c had gone out in my car during the beginning of our trip so I was hot and tired and nauseated when we arrived. I am a recovering Leukemia patient and when I went to the front desk to check in I was given a 1 bed, smoking room. Being a Priceline customer I understand the policy with bookings, but when I called Priceline to talk to someone about the situation the gentleman's attitude was sorry can't help you. I went back in to the hotel and explained the situation to the Front Desk Clerk Christie. She worked on the computer a few minutes and got me into a 2 bed non-smoking room for my brother and I. She explained there was a baseball tournament in town and the were booked full. It seemed the first floor also had some sort of fire or water damage because a bunch of the rooms were blocked off and being worked on. She could not have been more kind and thoughtful to my situation and took control to accommodate my request and needs making a already sad, hard trip easier. I had a lovely room to come back to each evening and have some quiet time in. Christie is an example of the best Holiday Inn Express has to offer and should be in a management position there if she is not already. Because of her compassion and professionalism, I will lean towards to the Holiday Inn brand each and every time I need an accommodation and it will be the ONLY hotel I stay in in Greenwood, SC. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I will never stay at this property again. My room flooded. This was not the fault of the hotel but an act of god. I don't have a problem with that but what I do have a problem with is that my room had been wet before and they had no problem putting me in the room with flash flood warnings most of the day. The hotel lied to guests and IHG saying the hotel had never flooded before. When I called IHG to complain they offered me a very small amount of points that I am not happy with. The hotel offered me even less and yes I had to pay for my room. I am a platinum IHG member. I have contacted Hilton Honors to match my status and I believe I will start staying at Hilton properties. There are too many hotel chains to choose from to tolerate this kind of treatment. The gentleman that checked me in was the only positive of the night. I felt so sorry for him as the water came in and he had many unhappy guests! Please see attached photo for picture of the water in the hall. The picture is of the hall on the first floor. We found the night staff to be incredibly helpful and very funny - we had a blast with him!! The lobby is one of the neatest ones we have seen with the Grand Stairway coming into it from the 2nd Floor. We were recognized as Platinum Members during the check-in which was nice. April 16, 2013

The staff always remembers me and makes me feel welcome. The hotel is amazingly quiet. Good wireless internet access throughout the property. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Repeat customer I have stayed at the Greenwood Holiday Inn Express several times over the past year. The location is excellent, quiet and the rooms are clean. The beds are excellent which is a must for me. The only drawback is the price. In my opinion it is a bit pricey, however I am able to use my AAA to get a discount. The staff has always been polite and very courteous regarding my service dog. I am confident to say I will be staying here again. March 15, 2013

I've stayed in this hotel on three separate occasions, due to working in Greenwood and our company using Holiday Inn as our hotel of choice. Each experience was terrible. The first time the stool wouldn't flush and the room smelled bad. The second time I found a couple HUGE bugs in my room (so did a few of my other co-workers), my room smelled like urine when I had the air conditioner running, and my room phone rang multiple times between 2 am and 3 am, so I finally unplugged my phone. The third time I was in a room that was slightly better, the room still didn't have a pleasant smell, and the entire team got phone calls constantly, we all wound up unplugging our phones (7 of us total). One teammate answered his phone and it was someone claiming to be the front desk, and claiming they had a computer malfunction and that they needed to get his credit card information again. Instead of giving it over the phone he hung up and went to the front desk, needless to say, it was a scam. I would NEVER choose this hotel if I were picking hotels in this town. Disgusting. Also, I have been a platinum club member for the past year and a half, and at no point on any of my trips was I greeted a a member. November 13, 2012
