Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, location and accomadations This was second stay at this location, I stayed at Holiday Inn while in Anderson, SC however both times I had an early morning flight. After I explained of my flight arrangements on my first trip the people in Anderson made the arrangements so I can move to this location to cut my morning commute and gain a bit more sleep. On both trips I found that the people are very friendly, the location to the airport was fantastic and the room was very comfortable. Thanks January 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Service I thought it was easy to find-coming south it was turn right a few times, couldn't be any easier. Enjoyed the coffee, although there is a dunkin nearby, I still took a cup with me from the hotel. So what if there was construction on the third floor, it didn't bother us. We had no noise, no problem. Service at the front desk was amazing and she gave us menus to order in. Safe and sound, peace and quiet, didn't hear the highway, didn't hear any kids. Loved it. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Did not deliver, not a great value I almost always stay at HIE when I am on the road. I stopped at the Greenville HIE later in the evening when I was too tired to drive. I was looking forward to a good night's sleep and working out on the treadmill the next morning before I got back on the road. Neither one happened. The bed was comfortable, but my room was on the front of the hotel and there were people out their talking at all hours and I could hear my neighbors next door arguing. The next morning, I headed to the fitness center only to find the treadmill broken. There was a sign announcing their partnership with a local gym, but that was not an option given my time constraints. For the price I paid, I was very disappointed. January 6, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall We had the opportunity to stay at this location four times between September and the first of the year and every time I was impressed with the staff, all from the desk clerks and managers to the housekeeping staff and I want to give special recognition to the lady that runs the breakfast concept. She is friendly and very helpful and deserves a special 'thank you'. The location is not an easy place to find arriving at night and not being familiar with the roadways and the fact that most of the building seems to be built on an elevation makes it hard to load and unload luggage and walk my dogs. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not happy We were put on the 3rd floor, where there was construction going on. The # where not on the doors, we had to look on the floor for them. Paint was on the hall floors. The rooms were not that bad it's just that they should have told us about this or a least give us a discount before hand. The cleaning staff knocked on my door 7:30 the next morning, which it was not time to leave. I am a priority club member and they should not have been knocking at that time. I think they thought that no one was on that floor becuse of the construction going on, I had my door locked, they did this to my son also, he was in the room next to me. We were really disappointed. Unfortunately, over time, the public areas - namely carpets - are very much in need of replacement. Overall refurbishment of the public areas is very much needed. We did not find an ABC TV station listed on the card in the room, but did find it on channel 4 by scanning through the available channels. Management should reprint the room cards accordingly. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Stay often but may need to rethink I usually stay at this location once a month and majority of the time it is a great property to stay at. This past visit (11/11-11/14) wasn't my best time there. Internet connection is spotting and half the time it didn't work. Had to call the help line which didn't do much but did get me connected. The hotel is doing some renovating the 2nd floor but didn't affect me much but On the last night I was there, it sounded like someone was above me pounding and jumping around. I went to ask the front desk if anyone was above me but they didn't do anything about, just got back on their personal cell phone and said no there isn't anyone up there. Had a rough night that night, trying to get some sleep. November 17, 2013

There were no problem with the building or amenities but I was very disappointed to see my 5 nights lodging did not count as a 'qualifying stay' because the rate I paid. #I've heard there is a new 'formula' to determine if a night is qualifying or not#. I recently started staying at Holiday Inn brands from another because of booking problems and not being able to accumulate 'points'. #I am on the road approximately 100 nights per year#. From the experience on this trip with non qualifying nights it looks like I will have to change to yet another brand. November 12, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful staff and hotel We actually had to stay here twice within a two week period. The hotel had suffered a water leak that messed up a lot of the hotel. We came for a wedding and ended up having to come back for a funeral. It was an awful time for us but, the hotel and it's staff still held a high quality of excellent service. They could not have been kinder or been so helpful. Especially Nancy who works in the breakfast area. She was very attentive to me and my family. She went above and beyond to see we were cared for. She is a truly great asset to this hotel and she should be recognized for her kindness and strong work ethic. Also Anna at the front desk was wonderful and was able to help us. We are truly appreciative of these wonderful employees. All the staff was equally as kind and helpful even though there routines were being interrupted by the problems they had due to a water leak that wrecked havoc on them. I would highly recommend this hotel. They are one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of being at. We are very appreciative of there family and they made us feel like family as well. Even though our time there was under difficult circumstances there kindness and sensitivity will not be forgotten. Kudos to this hotel and the wonderful staff. Please stay here you will be thankful. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel undergoing renovations I often stay here because it is close to the airport, and my experience had been above average in the past. In my last stay, however, things were different. Because of hotel renovations the wing on the second floor where my room was was blocked out of elevator service. They had someone helping people carry their luggage up and down the stairs, but he was helping someone else when I arrived, and I preferred to just carry my luggage myself. That was inconvenient, but there was another problem: the HVAC unit in my room blew air, but did not put out heat. It got a bit cold at night. Not a good experience this time. If a hotel is being renovated, I think that the right thing to do is to advise at the time of reservation, so one can make an informed decision before booking. November 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lung cancer I was appauled by this hotel. It had the strongest smoke odor, I felt (even though I was in a non-smoking room) that I had smoked an entire pack of cigarettes. I couldn't sleep a wink because my throat hurt so badly from the smoke smell. I complained to the front desk and all they said was "sorry". I filled out the survey and never received a response. I promise this, if a hotel ever smells like smoke again, I will quickly check out! November 5, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not one of the better HIE properties I usually stay at this HIE because it is very close to Michelin's North American headquarters, but I am not likely to stay there again. The staff was friendly, the room was good and breakfast was very good. However, the WiFi slows to a crawl in the evenings. I could have lived with that, but the big issue for me was the fitness room. I take my running seriously. The belt on the one treadmill in the room was loose, making it difficult to run. Then, at one mile into a 3.5 mile run, the magnetic emergency stop device fell out of it's slot, causing the treadmill to shut down. This isn't a bad HIE, but I need the WiFi and the treadmill to work, and this last time neither did very well. October 6, 2013
