Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unexpected pleasure I was driving from Vail, Colorado to Westchester, New York with my sister and my two dogs. On the way out to Colorado I stayed at a competing hotel one exit to the east of this Holiday Inn Express. That hotel was awful. The service was not good and the hotel smelled of cigarette in the halls and in the public areas as well as in the "non-smoking" rooms. On the return trip, I looked for and found this Holiday Inn Express and it was superior to the above mentioned hotel. It had everything I needed for the one night stay and the hotel is pet friendly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stayed again and I liked it.. As always! I have stayed at this location numerous times and it's always a good or great experience! Nice, clean, newer hotel that's well taken care of and the personnel take care of you as well. Being a Gold member I was upgraded to a King suite since I assume someone else checked in needing a King room. That's always nice when that happens to me, (Maybe 35% of the time I stay at any HIE.) Everything was great and I was able to get my work done and relax as well... Thanks!! August 7, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay My overall stay was wonderful, I would recommend a couple changes to procedures. The hotel front desk staff was never at the front desk, at one point I had to wait at least 2 min which seems like a minimal amount of time but at other hotels there is always someone present at the front desk. The Breakfast person and the front desk person always seem to be out on smoke breaks at the same time, the customers should not have to hit a button to get service. I have stayed there for several stays and between 6:30am-7:00am there will never be anyone in the breakfast area or the front desk because they are out smoking and the breakfast area was not completely setup but the lady still takes her smoke break. Also I was very surprised to come back from a hard days work at 5:30pm to find my room was not yet cleaned, this has happened a few times during my stay, the last thing a person wants is to come to the hotel and plan on resting and have to leave your room cause is needed to be serviced.
