Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sweet Home Alabama We have stayed at this property at least four times, and like the location and the staff is always great, but on this recent visit, didn't have a very good experience checking out. We left at 2:30 am and the male desk clerk, was for lack of a better word, rude. I would of grade the staff excellent if it wasn't for this. I stopped at the desk to drop off my keys, to a gentlemen I obviously woke up, and told him the room number and that we were leaving. I asked when the hold would be released from my credit card and if I could have a receipt. He said I already had one and if I needed another copy I could wait till 3:00 am when he does the audit and he will print it again. I told the man I hadn't received one and he proceeds to inform since I had paid for the stay with the advanced purchase rate that the email confirmation I got when I made the reservation is my receipt. I felt like a child being scolded. In response to the hold on my card, which is something this location never does, he said its incase of damages. I turn to leave because I didn't want to keep him awake, and as I was going out, the gentleman called behind me saying, aren't you going to wait while I print your receipt. This all took place on November 15, 2013 at 2:30 am. This was our last of a couple of weeks at three other of your brands hotels with very great experiences, but this did leave a bitterness for this location. I also thought it unusual that I didn't receive an email to review this stay, when the other three places in IHG that I stayed at all sent them too me. November 25, 2013
