IHG members were able to spin wheel for points and gifts, nice perk. Room was nice and clean. Staff friendly, had perks like cookies and fruit infused water at front desk. Not far from inner harbor. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Breakfast Service Ever Overall, the hotel was ok but the breakfast service was the worst I had ever experience during my "many stays" with HIE. Guests were standing line for more than thirty minutes waiting for breakfast item s that took that long to arrive. WhenI arrived, only gravy and bacon were available, no scrambled eggs to biscuits were available. I waited for more than thirty minutes and neither missing items arrived. Several people, mostly military in uniform, walked into the dining room, saw the limited selection and walked out. Again, the worst prepared kitchen staff I ave ever seen. I am at this minute at that HIE in Middleboro, Mass. August 1, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall good value Overall, the room and amenities are nice. Breakfast was hot, varied, and plentiful. Property is clean and well maintained. Shuttle service is prompt and efficient (every 30 minutes). I would stay here again, but two issues to be aware of: 1. They do have a guest laundry, but with only one washer and dryer. We were there on a weekend, so had to wait about 4 hours for it to open up. No laundromats are in the immediate area. 2. Walls are thin. If you are a light sleeper (like me), it may be difficult to sleep with the sounds of slamming doors and conversations all night. I believe other reviews had similar sentiments. July 28, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spacious, comfortable rooms, very clean hotel I have stayed at this property on several occasions to go to the nearby casino. Although this hotel offers free shuttle service because it is an airport location, airport customers receive priority for use of the shuttles. The first time I stayed I had no issues with the shuttle taking me to the casino and picking me up but with subsequent stays I made my way to the casino on my own as the shuttle was unavailable, even though I had signed up as required and was given a wait time that went from 15 minutes to over 1 1/2 hours. I will say the rooms are always clean and comfortable but the staff is not always as friendly as I have come to expect of HI's staff. July 17, 2013

It is also close to shopping which makes it convenient. Its also quit in the evening if you want to just relax because it not right next to the interstate. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Can't say enough! We had been experiencing one headache after another on an unplanned trip to Baltimore due to a family emergency. Rooms were in short supply. Finally, after 10:00 PM, was able to get rooms needed at BWI airport Holiday inn express. Counter attendant Marlo was a sea of calm while craziness whirled around. While dealing w ith a Pinochle tournament, a family reunion and a broken elevator all at once on a hot summer night, she calmly and politely handled our check-in, despite a credit card issue, The next day she made arrangements so we just had to call and have rooms ready for us the next night as well since we were not sure when we left the next morning if we would be going home or staying. We had to stay and the rooms were all set when we got back. It may seem like this should happen at most hotels without much thought or question, but I can tell you it does not. We were extremely grateful for her help, courtesy and calmness. The rooms were clean comfortable and quiet as usual, and the elevator was repaired the next morning. Kudos! July 7, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service; convenient location; and comfortable bed At check-in, the receptionist acknowledged my Priority Club or I should say IHG Rewards membership. On learning that I was thinking about returning my rental car the evening before my morning flight out of BWI, she told me to call the hotel and they would send the hotel shuttle to the rental car center to pick me up. I did not need to get on the rental car shuttle to the terminal as that would take forever. The evening that I checked in, there was a Manager's reception for hotel guests, which included hors d'ouevres, a decent selection of beers, white & red wine, and soft drinks. After a very long day of meetings and travel, that was just what I needed. The property seems quite new, and my room was spacious, and the bed was quite comfortable. My only quibble (and this is minor), was the selection of TV channels seemed a bit limited. The service throughout my stay was impeccable. The evening that I dropped off my rental car, the shuttle took a little longer than advertized, but the driver was extremely apologetic and explained that traffic around the terminal had been very heavy. Shuttle driver next morning to the airport was very polite, and loaded and off-loaded all my bags. Location of the hotel is convenient to BWI, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. A big shopping center is only a mile or so away. I would recommend this HI-Express to anyone. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Late Shuttle and no follow-up times 2 Called hotel for the shuttle, operator said it would be about 5 minutes. 1/2 hour later I called asking where is the shuttle. he said it would be another 5 minutes. When I got to the hotel I explained that was the 2nd time in two weeks that the shuttle took 1/2 hour to and hour to be picked up. Manager said he would credit my platinum account for 2,000 points. Never got the points, wrote IHG about this and never got a response. I guess they just say they are going to be customer friendly and hope you never follow up on their promise. July 3, 2013
