Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean,comfortable place to stay We always try and stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels when we travel. We visit Gettysburg,PA often and will drive the 20 minutes to stay in the HIE in Hanover. We never have any type of problem when we stay there. You get a clean comfortable place to stay at a very resonable rate. August 29, 2014

Nice secure parking lot, pleasant employees and a great breakfast offering. We were unfamiliar with the area but our main destination was Gettysburg. As it turned out, we were able to do the Utz potato chip factory tour too which was a great time! August 29, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smoking Rooms I am not a smoker but there were only 2 rooms left and both were smoking. The odor was unbelievable---the pillow, the room. My clothes still smell of smoke! All other services and staff were absolutely great. Also, there were air purifiers or odor removers in the 3rd floor hall so staff are trying to assure removal of smoke odor. The staff member on 3rd floor on Sunday am and the staff in the breakfast area could not have been nicer, or more friendly and service oriented. THANK YOU!!! August 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Smell We stay at this hotel every year, however this year there was a smell throughout the hotel as if the rugs were wet and not properly dried. Although the hotel seemed clean the smell of wet dirty rug was on every floor. August 13, 2014
