At breakfast, apples were rotten, eggs were cool. Think breakfast staff was trying to make sure food was available, but not worrying about temperature or quality. June 16, 2014

The desk staff is great; check-in is easy, and my bill is always ready when I leave. The room is always clean, and I have never had any problems of any kind. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff, Good Facilities, Ok Guest Room, Horrible Breakfast Upon arriving the staff was wonderful and I was very pleased with the updated and clean lobby. We used the laundry room our last night and although they only had one washer and dryer they were not being used and were in great condition. The room appeared very clean, but you could tell the hotel has been there a while. My favorite part is usually the continental breakfast, however, the breakfast in my opinion was horrible. All boxed food, eggs were 'felty' and gross and the fruit they offered was nothing but some apples and oranges. Plan to eat out. (starlight diner is a good choice in this small town) The staff was so friendly, and although the toiletries are the bare essentials (they only give you 2 q-tips per room) the house keeping staff did a wonderful job, and we felt pretty safe leaving our things in the room. We were sure to tip them! There is not much selection in my old home town of Hanover PA, so if I have to visit I make sure to stay here. May 8, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good breakfast and great staff We usually stay at another motel in Hanover when we visit but they were booked up. We chose HIE simply because it was the next lowest price. The breakfast was very good - a wide variety. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. The only trouble we encountered was the abundance of commercial/construction vehicles taking up all of the parking spaces in the front of the lot. We were forced to park practically behind the motel. When it was brought to the attention of the desk staff (asking if maybe the truck drivers could be required to park in the rear of the lot) the desk person said, "Yeah...no there's not anything we can do about that." It seemed like a non-issue to her. Oh, and the pillows on the bed were awful. they were labeled "soft" and "firm", when they both should have been labeled "mushy and worthless". May 8, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Noise Level Overall the Hotel is very clean. The only thing that was bothersome to me during my stay was the noise just outside the window. There was something outside the window that kept running all night. But it wasn't a part of the Hotel itself. The other was a group of construction workers who had a room two doors down from my room who brought their own stereo and kept it turned up loud. The sound couldn't even be masked by the sound of my own TV. March 24, 2014

The only issue I had is that the heater/air conditioner does have a temperature gauge. You can only turn a dial for the temperature, but you can't actually set it. So I woke up several times and had to adjust the fan settings. March 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 One of the best HIE I have stayed in The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very nice and cordial not matter what time of day it was. The rooms and common areas were very well kept and looked up to date. The best thing about this place is really the staff. Aside from being really nice, they thought of the little things. i.e. making cookies for guests returning from work each day; leaving notes and candy each time they came and cleaned the rooms or changed the sheets; having somebody to greet you even at 1 or 2 in the morning. Even the hotel manager came up to greet me one afternoon which was a surprise. The only bad thing about this place was that the internet was a little slow but that is expected. March 6, 2014

Plenty of restaurants , shopping and less than 15 miles from Gettysburg. We bought Gettysburg cyclorama museum tickets and they also have the self driving tour cd. The hotel staff are nice and friendly. They provide great service. I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone. February 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Heat did not work Heater was blowing cold air. Had to unplug unit as even in the off position would turn on randomly and blow cold air. Did not complain as room stayed warm enough with heater unplugged and did not feel like packing up to switch rooms. Notified the front desk in the morning at checkout but the response left something to be desired for a platinum member. Check the hvac unit before you unpack! February 17, 2014

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, great service, clean and comfortable room, clean and variety of breakfast choice, everyone are so welcoming and staying here felt more like home than just another hotel. No matter who you come across whether it is front desk staff, housekeeping or even maintenance they greet you the moment you see them. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Great stay. Staff appeared to take great pride in providing services. Front desk clerks were friendly and very helpful. The employee who cleared the breakfast buffet area put a tremendous amount of effort to clean up the area and the equipment. I can tell that this occurs all the time. The breakfast area was very clean. Overall, this was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. For me, regardless of cost or chain, cleanliness is key. The bed was also very comfortable. We had a small problem with flushing of the bathroom toilet, but the staff was alerted to the problem and they immediately resolved it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Front Desk Check-In Upon arrival, the front desk was very professional and friendly. They always had a smile and a greeting whenever you passed them. The lobby was very clean and the Christmas Décor was very nice. The breakfast was great and the area was very clean. The rooms were very clean and the pillows were wonderful as was the bed. I was staying at the hotel when the ice storm hit and the staff kept the sidewalk and entrance way very safe. They would always let you know of the weather conditions. Although it was extremely frigid outside, the heater in the rooms were excellent! The housekeeping staff was also friendly. I would recommend this hotel in the Hanover area. Very, Very Pleased. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location for Business Travel This is a newer and very clean property. Location is good; close to dining and shopping. Easy access to highways. Located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Hanover in a commercial area. I was impressed at how the parking lot and walks were free of ice and snow after the area had received a fairly significant snowfall earlier in the day. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience and a good value. January 13, 2014
