We normally stay at Holiday Inn vs. HI Express. Beds were horrible; not comfortable at all. We were in the front of the hotel and heard noise all night long with cars, late check-ins, etc. Room was not ready when we arrived (altough we were early), so this is understandable, but never have run across this before at any other location. When we did check in and were in our room about 30+ minutes, maintenance main tried coming into the room; supposedly we were never checked into the computer which showed we were in the room. Would definately not stay at this location again. Staff was pleasant though.

As an avid traveler, I'm never disappointed with the Holiday Inn brand. This property was the exception. My air conditioner didn't work property and my hairdryer blew up while using it. The rooms themselves are just blah, not worth the normal Holiday Inn pricetag. I count on the predictability of a great and comfortable room and this was far from that.

This was our first time staying at the Holiday inn Express. The Inn was very clean and seemed quite new. The staff at the Inn were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were varied, the cinnamon rolls were fantastic. We would like the menu to include a bowl of fresh fruit. It seemed to us that sausage gravey would not need to be on the menu each day. It was a very pleasant experience and we would return.

This property was very clean and there were a variety of breakfast choices. The most important need is a good nights sleep which was impossible due to the awful beds.

We were instantly greeted by a cheerful clerk when we entered the hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The accessibility for wheelchair users was great! The morning breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly! We would highly recommend this place!

Picked this hotel onilne becuase of the price and it was close to Gettysburg. My wife and I only stayed one night, but it was very clean and everyone was nice. It was an easy drive to and from Gettysburg. I would definitly stay here again!

So 4 out of 5, with a surprisingly better self serve free breakfast than I was expecting. I would have given 5 out of 5 if the advertised room rates were better, though honestly I can't complain since I had a hiccup with a 3rd parting booking and the hotel really came through. Many thanks to Rachael at the front desk, she was fantastic, warm, personable and welcoming - 5 Stars to her!. Though the mattresses were just better than average, still the best part of my stay, second only to the breakfast, was our room with a wooded view and a quiet, uninterrupted night's rest. In the future I plan to book directly with Holiday Inn reservations and will certainly stay here again.
Nice job Hanover!

We chose to stay at this location as this was the closest Holiday Inn Express to Gettysburg, PA. This was a very nice property (clean rooms and common areas) with very friendly staff. It was in a great location in Hanover, PA as it was very close to shopping centers and tons of restaurants and only about 15 minutes from Gettysburg. We only wished it had a hot-tub or indoor or outdoor pool.

The young lady at the front desk was exceptional. We called when we were getting close to our destination and she gave us very good directions to the hotel. Check in was easy. She gave me info on Gettysburg and a map. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine - a great way to get the day started.
Each person we encountered at the front desk while we were there was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.
Also, the young lady that was preparing and putting the breakfast out was very nice and worked hard at keeping everything serviced.

Upon arrival we were given a room on the 3rd floor which apparently has smoking rooms on it. The elevator and 3rd floor hallway stunk of cigarettes. Our room key did not work and when I returned to the front desk and saw a guest checking in receive a bag with water and snacks In it. We did not receive this and it would have been nice after a long hot day touring the battlefield. Our room was directly across from the elevator and we were given a new room 2 doors down and "further" from the smoki g rooms down the hall. I was quite disappointed in the service I was given by the front desk staff.

This is the closest IHG location to Gettysburg which is about 30 minutes. The staff was very accommodating, the hotel was clean and the breakfast was great! I was given a suite upgrade because of my Platinum Elite status, which was very nice. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting Gettysburg.

Staff was great: friendly, prompt service. Breakfast was great: good choice; comfortable ambiance. Huge complaint was that a non-smoking room reeked of the smell of cigarette smoke, even though I personally spoke (by phone) with an agent about non-smoking. Really spoiled the night's sleep and overall good experience.

This property was very comfortable, the staff was very accomidating and the breakfast was wonderful. I was upgraded to a suite because I am an Elite Platinum member. The suite was spacious and very well maintained. This location was very clean and well maintained. My family and I were very pleased and would recommend this location to anyone visiting Gettysburg.

The cost of the room was great. Parking was not even an issue since they have a good size parking lot. My family always looks at reviews before we stay anywhere and this place had great reviews. We also look for complimentary breakfast. We had a great breakfast with so much to choose from. My only issue was our room smelled a little musty which is why I gave a 4/5 for the room. We were too tired to care or it could have been fixed but we didn't say anything to staff so that was our own fault. I recommend staying here over any other hotel in the area!!!

Upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk clerk told me that she had tried to contact me to tell me that they only had a suite and it was a smoking room. She said that they had tried to clean it. Thier concern was appreciated especially since I had made the reservation late and hotel vacancies were scarce due to the events in the Gettysburg area that weekend. The suite, which I had not reserved but was not charged extra for, was very nice and clean. There was little evidence of smoking. My floor was very quiet, something I not always experienced in my stays. The front desk also gave me a bag of water and locally made pretzels after signing me up for rewards membership. The hotel is conveniently located near eating establishments including a Perkins where the staff was friendly.

Very nice HI Express. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had two rooms and both were clean and the housekeeping services were excellent. Beds were a bit soft for my taste. Great value for the money.

I was there for a number of weeks but from day one I was always greeted by name. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff.
One of the very few hotels where the housekeeping staff noticed that I hung the towels indicating that I didn't need new ones. In virtually all other hotels, no matter what you did, the towels, soap etc were renewed every day. Well done housekeeping!
Only one little complaint was that the windows could not be opened in the rooms. Admittedly, I was in smoking rooms but they all had an odd smell. The corridors had a strong "air freshener" smell and the room smell was like an old stale version of this. Don't know if the AC units brought in fresh air or just recycled it. It didn't seem to make a difference if I put it on just fan, cool or turned it off when I wasn't in the room. Maybe the filters need changing more regularly or maybe it was just me :-) Oddly, the first room I stayed in was a suite and that smelled nice and fresh like the corridors every day.
I prefer to have a room with two double beds. I spend most of my time in the room at the desk either working on my laptop or eating and like to watch the TV from there. The layout of the regular rooms meant that the fridge/microwave tower was next to the desk and blocked your view of the TV. You could see about 2/3 of the screen with the TV swiveled towards you but in rooms that were the mirror image the remote sensor was covered by the tower and you had to get up to use the remote.
The AC unit was right next to the desk and you had to turn it off while sitting at the desk to avoid being frozen, cooked or blown out of the seat :-)

The staff in this facility do not understand what above and beyond means because they do it on a regular basis day in and day out. This has been the most helpful caring group of people I have met. There are two maintenance men that especially did more than required. My wife and daughter were stranded at the hotel because of car issues and your maintenance men went overboard with the help and made sure my family had the help they needed! I am forever grateful for your employees. It is employees like this that make a good business a great business! Thank you for all your help.

The room was clean and comfortable. This however was the first HIE I have ever stayed in where they lock ALL the doors at 9:00PM, even the front door. I've stayed in over 45 different HIE in over 13 states and this was a first.. That made me question the area we were in, or if it's just Hanover in general.

We are platinum members-what a nice surprise after working all week and then traveling to our destination we were upgraded to a suite without our asking. The hotel was quite, recently upgraded and conveniently close to shopping .The rooms are very comfortable with temperature controls that do work. The front desk was professional, friendly & very pleasant. Lots of choices for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay of two nights and would highly recommend this hotel

As a frequent business traveler I get to experience some of the best and worst hotels. This visit to Hanover was the best. Bob at the front desk was overly nice, courteous, talkative and respectful. Couldn't ask for a warmer welcome. I was upgraded into a "suite" that was much, much more than I needed. I forgot my toothbrush, one was provided without hesitation. The only thing lacking with the breakfast choices. While I rarely have high expectations from a free breakfast the foods offered on this day were a little dry and bland.
