Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 8uddhapop great location, nice staff
While the general area is not the prettiest, the hotel itself is very nice and the staff if very friendly. The location is excellent and convenient. The breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Pittsburgh North. The staff is very friendly and I was given an upgrade to a recently renovated room which was very large and comfortable.

A family funeral had us travel to the area near Fox Chapel. We lucked out with this hotel at the last second. It was quieter than i thought it would be and fresh and clean inside. Beds were very comfortable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by neveragainatwoony little league
I stayed for 9 nights, on Friday night the little league kid and families started checking in. that was the last time I had any peace and quiet for the weekend. Parants and kids playing football in the hallway on Friday night, the staff took care of that. Saturday and Sunday kids and adults made more noise then collage kids at Daytona on spring break. it snowed and was cold so no baseball. kids are kids but adults should take care of them.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by April2016 Terrible Location Across from Truck Stop
This hotel is situated about 50 feet from a major truck stop, with about 40 loading bays for 18-wheelers. The trucks are coming in and out at all hours of the night, with lights and loud sounds.
The outside of this hotel is in a state of disrepair (peeling paint, no landscaping) and the parking lot has poor lighting.
The lobby is essentially a vestibule and the front desk was frequently unattended when we arrived. (We stayed for 6 unfortunate nights.)
The "business center" is literally a desk in a hallway and the room is open to the lobby. It is noisy and there is no privacy so forget about making an actual work call from there.
I do not recommend staying at this Holiday Inn. The location is HORRIBLE.

My best friend of 45 years passed away during Easter week. I live in Florida. Being Catholic, the family had to wait till Monday after Easter to have her buried. Saturday 3-27 I decided that I needed to be there. Booked ticket to fly to Pgh. on Easter Sunday. By the time I arrived at Harmarville I was very tired. Judy, the front desk clerk really went above and beyond to get me a room for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday nights. She certainly did a great job. As upset as I was, all staff expressed sympathy and asked if there was anything I needed. They made a very sad situation a little more bearable. They are to be commended!
