Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Adjoining rooms have thin walls This hotel has been redone and the rooms are very nice with hard wood floors and new furniture. We enjoyed the breakfast, the pool and our room. The booking staff was excellent and even called us when a cancellation came up and arranged for us a room to have a room with 2 queen beds which was our preference. Very nice staff. The only downside was we were placed in a room that had adjoining capabilities and the door between the room was very thin and we could hear everything from the room next door. We have stayed here before and not had this experience so we're assuming it's just with the adjoining rooms. May 21, 2014

The man at the front desk (Tom) was very helpful and helped me into a room as soon as one became available. My room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I didn't have to look far for any outlets or accommodations. Overall a pleasant stay. May 21, 2014

The room was exceptionally nice this time as the renovation made it very comfortable. The free breakfast is very nice and the staff keep it well stocked at all times. Only downside is I wish the bathroom was a little larger, but I can live with it for a week. May 11, 2014

Often I and others felt odd about sitting with strangers. I would suggest rearranging as best as possible to separate the tables to allow for smaller arrangements. March 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Appreciate the Staff I had an issue with the Shower at 430 in the morning. the staff was able to accommodate me to be able to get another room cleaned, get a shower and get on the road. I appreciate them working with me. they also were very generous in crediting points to my account for the inconvenience. The Hotel is under renovation, so still getting together, but I appreciate the customer service. thanks guys. March 24, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My Stay I was in the Pittsburgh area because my dad hospitalized and eventually died while I was there. The staff was great. From all the desk clerks who greeted us each time we came or went, especially Sean who helped me when I called to make the reservations, to Mary Beth who was so compassionate when I needed to change our length of stay, to housekeeping who was patient with our schedule and my husband -- I felt comfortable and cared for. The breakfast was good and hit the spot each morning. Thank you for such a good stay. February 24, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by New Room Design? Upon check-in, your staff member suggested I stay in the "Newly Designed" room located just off the lobby. The big difference was hard-wood flooring rather than carpet. Nice! Until just before 6 am when, apparently, the morning shift arrived. Although their talking wasn't particularly loud, it sounded like they were in the room with me. I guess carpeting deadens lobby noise and wood amplifies it. I wanted to sleep in, but couldn't. This Holiday Inn Express is by far the cleanest and most wonderful hotel I've had the pleasure to stay at. The staff is fantastic wether walking in or out of the building. The housekeeping staff foes an exemplary job of cleaning and also greet the guests like the front desk staff do. I will definitely recommend thia hotel to all my friends and family. November 26, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff Check in was very quick and seamless. Also, every one of the staff was professional and friendly throughout my stay. The overall quality of the hotel is very good. The only down side to the hotel is the proximity to the train. The train did wake me the first night, but that was the only occasion. Based on the hotel quality, friendly staff, and breakfast choices, I would certainly recommend it to anyone that is planning on staying in the area. November 18, 2013

When I pulled up to the front entrance, two men we're staying outside the door to one side. One was smoking a cigarette and the other was texting on a cell phone. When I entered the lobby the guy who was smoking followed me inside and went behind the front desk, without saying a word. He didn't say much. As I was unloading my things from my car the guy on the cell phone continued to loiter and text. November 3, 2013

The breakfast was good and convenient also. There is a family restaurant down the street called Kings that was very inexpensive and had great diner food which also gave us a 20% discount because we were staying at a nearby hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff When I got home, a message from Mary Beth (front desk) informed me that I had left an "item". I unpacked and didn't think of what it could be. Turns out I left my wedding band in the room. The maid turned it into the desk. Great service and definitely honest staff looking to do the right thing. Not common now days. This was my third stay and I always remember the friendly staff. Also the comp. breakfast buffet is excellent and the girl keeps everything stocked and the dining room clean. Dining room and serving area work better than most I've experienced (2 is crowd most places). Thnaks - Bill October 17, 2013

Check in took mere moments and, I was pointed in the direction of the elevator. (thank you) Breakfast is great I especially enjoy the delicious pancakes! I can NOT imagine anyone ever having any problem with a stay here! Surely, if a problem did develop I KNOW the staff would QUICKLY remedy ANY situation that might arise! I will definitely stay here again I will definitely recommend this Holiday Inn Express to ANYONE looking for a room even NEAR here! GREAT STAY! Thanks! Oh, there was a little bit of road noise from the turnpike exit near the property perhaps moreso on that side of the building. The front side would be more quiet. Although, it really was NOT an issue for me. But, due to my requirement to be honest in my reviews I have to mention it. October 4, 2013

The room was spacious and clean, the staff was very friend, and the amenities were excellent. My two kids loved the indoor pool. My husband and I loved the hot breakfast that was included for our family the next morning. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Pittsburgh area. October 1, 2013
