Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Patrick64 Great Shower and comfortable room
Enjoyed a wonderful couple days staying at the Harmarville Holiday Inn Express. The staff was extremely pleasent and the room was really nice. The best was a shower that you didn't want to get out of at all. The water pressure was terrific. Great place to stay.

Check-In was great! Lady working the desk (sorry I forgot her name) on 7/24/15 was great! She was very patient as my elderly parents debated the type of room they wanted. She even let them look at a room with a walk-in shower. She also welcomed me as a Platinum Member and offered the choice of a welcome gift or 500 pts.
She also was able to get us rooms near each other.
The rooms were very clean! And nicely appointed.
Pergo type floors are nice & clean, but make nearby slamming doors in the morning a bit loud. Breakfast is good. Well attended and refilled.
Hard boiled eggs, or hot egg choice, breads/toast, french toast, pancakes, like the turkey sausage, cereal, yummy cinnamon rolls all good.
Could use some fruit on the buffet. 2 or 3 scary old oranges were the only fruit choice.
Will be back! Thanks for a great stay!

After my credit card was charged and key was given I was told that my first floor room was 'damp' due to the rainy weather. All the first floor room were damp. Our bathroom door couldn't close and the 'dampness' made it very difficult to breath. I can't believe the room or any room on the first floor were given to guests. I'm a priority member and this was AWFUL!!

The outside of the hotel is in the process of a new paint job. It will definitely make it look more appealing(I hope they pick the green color). Rooms were updated and look nice. The wood floors looked nice, but made our feet and socks really dirty. Not sure if they didn't clean it really good after remodeling. Our bathroom door wouldnt close unless you used extreme force to get past door jam. The main door into the room, the swing lock, the part that attaches to the door, the screws were loose and it wiggled a lot. Other than those things, it was great. Breakfast was good, pool was nice, and the updated rooms decor looked nice.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Larry1309 Front desk staff
I had booked rooms for two consecutive nights, arriving Friday, 7/17 and departing Sunday, 7/20; the first night using rewards points and the second night as a paid room. Check-in was fine, having been assured that we would remain in the same room both nights and we were all set. We left for the day on Saturday morning and when we returned at about 9:00 PM, our keys to the room would not work. I went to the front desk while my wife waited upstairs for me to get keys that opened the door (she had had medical episode that afternoon and we had gone to a Medi-Center to have her examined, recommending she stay off of her feet and better yet, stay in bed). The HI front desk woman on duty was rude and condescending. She said she had no paperwork on our second night's stay and acted like I had tried to get into a room without having checked in. She finally just printed a new document for me to sign and gave me new keys, again displaying the attitude that it was my fault. It took more than 10 minutes for her to get me new keys, mostly due to her time arguing with me, while it should have taken about 30 seconds.
I spend about 40 nights a week at Holiday Inns and have never been treated as badly.

I was not recognized as a rewards member and the breakfast staff did not want to do anything. We will not stay here ever again.
