Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Was it smoking or non-smoking? Room 326 was our room on Dec.21, 2012. Non-smoking rooms have a symbol that show they are NON-SMOKING. Our room did NOT have that symbol. Upon entering the room we found out why. It smelled very much like it had been smoked in for many years. We were too tired to do anything about it. In the morning we told the two women at the desk that our reservation was for a non-smoking room and what we had was a smoking room and it stunk! They insisted that it was a non-smoking room even checking the computer to verify it. Imagine that! They didn't seem interested in discussing it further. We had more miles to go that day and weren't going to argue. However, we will not be back. January 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by TV and Wireless Internet no up to par To have such nice televisions with no HD channels is such a waste. Picture quality is poor and the sound is so controlled that my mother could not heat the TV. The wireless Internet came and went and it took forever to get a web page loaded. So, technology is poor. I had to call three times to get an answer to arrange for a wakeup call. I let the phone ring and ring, but no answer. This left me to wonder about coverage of the front desk and security. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reservations Let me start by saying that I used Holiday Inn Express on every opportunity I can. I like the consistency on accomodations and have come to rely on it especially if I'm going into an area that I am unfamiliar. However, recently I called the front desk of the Harrisonburg Va facility and while I was giving the person at the front desk my information I was transfered to reservations. I was thinking it was a department within the facility only to find out that it was the Holiday Inn reservation center. Half of the information I had provided I had to repeat. Due to past experiences with the central reservation department I make it a point to look up the specific Holiday Inn's phone number where I need to make reservations and only use the reservation center when I am desperate. Needless to say the transfer that day came as a suprise. I do hope that in the future when a person takes their time to call you direct you give them the respect of taking their reservations. Aside from this incident everything was excellent. December 13, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Getaway My fiance and I booked a king with a jacuzzi last minute while we were up in the area looking at venues. The room was well kept and staff was definitely one of the more courteous I have encountered. The jacuzzi was actually in the main portion of the bedroom close to the TV which was a nice layout. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Visit Wonderful relaxing time. Hotel had phone issues. Phone rang in our room in the middle of the night. When we called front desk, they said they were receiving calls from other guests experiencing the same issue. Front desk suggested we unplug the phone and assured us we would receive a discount for our inconvenience. We unplugged the phone and were happy. Thank you Holiday Inn Express. We will be back!
