Arriving very tired at 9 PM the gentleman at the reception desk couldn't have been nicer. Our cats were also able to stay with us, a real plus. I was very impressed with the desk clerk.

We usually stay at the downtown Holiday Inn Express for the Big East Tournament but decided to try your property this year. It was a great choice! The staff was personable and helpful, the free shuttle service to downtown was excellent, and the rooms were bigger than the other property. We would definitely stay here in the future!

The room was spacious with lots of extras (small fridge, microwave, 2 tvs, couch, iron, hair dryer). The bed was super comfy (and I was 7 months pregnant!) Staff was friendly and helpful in finding a restaurant in the area that we might enjoy. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a well-kept Holiday Inn Express with everything you expect. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast is typical. The halls are clean. The reception staff is friendly. The only negative is that it is in a slightly seedy corner near the small Brainard airport. However, parking is free and it is a very short drive (3 minutes) up I-91 to downtown. The price is lower than the HI Express on Asylum Street (and you pay for parking there.) If you are in Hartford strictly for business or are on a modest family budget, I recommend this place.

My vehicle broke down on 91-South. Hotel was very convenient to reach. Staff was great, Room was very clean. Arsenio and his front desk were more than accommodating. They suggested several restaurants as well as the name and location of a great mechanic. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my colleagues for future stays in Hartford.

I stay at this property somewhat regularly on business and always have had excellent experiences.
However my last visit was during a recent deep freeze and out side temperatures were in the teens and lower twenties. It seemed as though the bathroom vent was directly connected to the outside and the cold air flowed into the room like air conditioning. The staff ( shuttle driver) heeded our call and attempted to block the vent. the first attempt lasted one night and upon return to the room the next evening the frigid air was again entering the room. I called for service and when the (now a maintenance employee) asked if we'd prefer another room, we declined. The vent was again blocked with cardboard and masking tape and that lasted for the rest of our stay.
I would not hold this against the HI as it was extreme weather and they made good attempts to satisfy our needs.
Another comment would be that on this trip the coffee in the public area was not refreshed as often as it could have been.
Overall I like this Holiday Inn and will return when business brings me to that local!

My son attends the University of Hartford and I have been staying at this hotel for 3 years now. It is always clean and they have the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever encountered at any hotel. We are always very comfortable at this hotel. The value is great. The only area of improvement is the breakfast buffet but I find it is exactly the same at this brand of hotels in other cities. The egg and cheese omelets are awful, the sausage patties are often not well cooked, and the biscuits are hard. But as I said, its the same as you would get at any hotel. Other than that, this hotel is fabulous. It is the staff that make this hotel special.

I can honestly say that we were treated like royalty; we given a suite instead of a regular room at a discounted price; they transported us to and from the hospital at no cost except the tip that I gave to wonderful drivers that cheered us up and suggested places to eat that were all great. I /// we will go back here time and time again. Next time we will go it will be for pleasure and for a good time in Hartford.. I want to thank the whole staff.

I've been staying at this hotel for six years, once or twice per week. Each and every time, the entire staff goes above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. Staff is extremely helpful, pleasant and courteous. Rooms are always clean and quiet. Breakfast is great, and complimentary.

I wanted to put in a word on the staff at the Hotel. They all were quite courteous, friendly and helpful.
Particularly, someone by name of Anterio (not sure of name but it begins with A and ends with O and sounds similar) was quite friendly. While he was knowledgeable on his area, he was extemely helpful and went out of his way into helping guests.

My visit there was post Superstorm Sandy. The hotel was full. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, spacious, and odor free (no musty smell that sometimes happens). Enjoyed the 'living area' and desk area since I'm a business traveler. Used the fitness room while there. Nothing fancy, but it worked fine. When I am back in Hartford I will stay there again.

Two seperate visits encountered the friendliest and most customer oriented staff I have ever experienced. All employees, all shifts smiled, offered a hello, offered my dog water and a biscuit, and even stopped - put down what they were carrying just to help me on the elevator. Nice to see!

The hotel itself is nice enough and the staff did greet me as a platinum Priority Club member, but they did not allow for a late checkout which is one of the only actual perks of the Platinum status. When I pointed this out, they said it wasn't a perk but just something that they could offer if they chose to. What? Using that logic Holiday Inn could call anything a Platinum perk and then just not choose to offer it.
