The room was nice but the tv had issues and we could not watch every channel-the front desk staff did offer to change our room but after unpacking and settling in who wants to do that. We also had to get our key "re-activated" twice within a 2 day stay and no I did not put it next to my cell phone or a magnet.
The room was clean and sufficient.

I stayed at this hotel twice within a week. May 10-12 to visit my Grandmother, May 14-16 for her funeral. On both visits I found the external door propped open with rocks so the hotel staff could go outside and smoke. The staff smoked right at the door, it stunk, and they never removed the rock. I brought this to the attention of the hotel front desk and both mentioned they knew it was a problem but nothing was ever done to fix it. If you travel a lot and stay in holtes a lot safe and secure is something that is on your list of things that are important. The point of one intrance and you must have a key to get into the interior of a hotel is for guest security. It is sad the the hotel staff has no appreciation for guest security. to bad.

Stayed in room 407 - had a loud rumbling noise, as if a big motor was sitting right over the entrance to the room. Thermostat on wall doesn't work, pillows were lumpy, and towels were very rough on day 2. Not a good overall experience. Won't be back.

March 2012 we first used the Wanaque (Haskell) Holiday Inn Express for an unexpected death of a family member. They were very accomadating to us and out of state family members. The experiance at the hotel was positive but we did not write a review at that time.
April 26, 2013 we arrived at the hotel again for a more pleasant experiance, the Lakeland High School Class of 63 reunion.
I contacted the hotel by phone and placed my room reservation.
A very pleasant young lady accomadated me and I had a e-mail confirmation within minutes. Desk employees were very accomadting during out stay.
We met many out of state classmates in the lounge during breakfast and began to catch up on our lives and start the day.
I would recommed it to any of the local high schools who plan reunions in the local area.

We have stayed in this hotel many times. The hotel is always clean, the staff is friendly, and they do their best to accommodate any special requests. We have always had good experiences with this hotel, I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

I stay at a lot of Holiday Inn Expresses, but this one was particularly disappointing. The heat in my room never came on even though I cranked it up as high as it would go. Also, the number of towels I was given was barely enough. Since I was only staying here for one night, I didn't bring up any of these issues, but I typically don't have these problems when I stay at these hotels in other locations throughout the country.
On the plus side, breakfast was pretty decent and the staff was not rude. The room was also clean and parking was pretty convenient.
