Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Well-Maintained (I'm resubmitting this review because I forgot to sign in beforehand; this way it's not "anonymous".) My two top criteria for a stay are that the place be immaculately clean and well-maintained (i.e., up-to-date room furniture & fixtures, and no scuffed, worn-out, or beat-up anything). This property met those criteria completely. In addition, the check-in person I dealt with was a friendly, welcoming, home-town type who also efficient and accurate. The room was apparently an "accessible" one, with lots more floor space than usual and a step-in shower instead of a tub. Although I'm not physically disabled & didn't request this, both of those things were positives for me. The place was quiet & relaxing. The a/c fan was not too loud. The breakfast was a typical HIE spread, and was well-stocked, fresh, and tasty. Great coffee, too. The breakfast staff person was very cheerful and helpful. My only complaints are (1) the shower head was pretty wimpy, and (2) the rate was a bit high (although apparently being right on I-70 lets these places charge a premium price -- this was pretty consistent along that route). Overall, an excellent stay! The best part was they arranged for the KC Royals to win that night! :-) November 8, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great stay Our stay in Hays was made even more pleasant due to this great hotel. Everyone was friendly, even the maids, the suite was spotless. Probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was great, room great, staff great, what more could you want. These folks know how to run a hotel! November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom issue The door to the bathroom in room 304 was not properly hung and dragged on the floor tiles when opening and closing. This caused noise. As I have a medical issue that makes me need the facilities several times a night, each time I opened and closed the door, it woke my husband. November 3, 2015
