We spent the last two weeks traveling from Alaska to the East Coast on a military move. We prefer to stay at Holiday Inns when the the opportunity is available. Our last night of the drive came through Hazard, KY. We contacted them by phone to check for availability. We were greeted by Crystal on the phone and when we arrived at the hotel. We received the best customer service from this wonderful person. She was very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant she recommended was one of the best meals that we had on our long trip. I have found almost all of the Holiday Inns that I have stayed at are pretty nice and relaxing. The thing that puts this hotel above the rest is the customer service. Crystal went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable. The hotel manager was also great, but I can't remember her name.

I stayed here every week for two months. The people were great, always ready to help. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the rooms. My only complaint is that there is no hot water to shower in the am between 6am-830am when the hotel is full. This needs to be addressed. Overall a great option for Hazard.

I always enjoy my stays at Holiday inn hotels. They have a great breakfast and the check out procedure is the bust in the business.

I am a platinum member and never have I booked a smoking room. My room was given to someone else and I had to take a smoking room because there were no rooms left. Also the fitness room needs the equipment repaired. One last thing the elevator has to be the slowest one I have ever seen. Very disappointed. This hotel is not up to the Holiday Inn standards.

We were at the Holiday Inn Express for 4 nights. The staff was always pleasant and helpful, ready to accommodate anything we asked for. Because the non-smoking rooms were booked when I called for a reservation, we were in a smoking room but the odor was minimal, the room was very clean, and we were not aware that others may have been smoking around us. Other folks in that section of the hotel, also non-smokers, said the same thing. The only drawback to the facility is the lack of elevators. One elevator when the hotel is full is not adequate. We were never in a hurry, but it could be a problem for others. Overall, a wonderful visit and fine accommodations, in an absolutely gorgeous area of the country.
