calls to the hotel and forces you to navigate an interactive voice response mechanism - in which you have to wait until item 7 to know what to press to speak to an in-house guest (are they keeping you on the phone for longer to make more money??).
While in the grand scheme of things it may not cost much - but most hotels I stay at do not seem to penny-pinch in this way and calling this hotel leaves one with a very bad taste in the mouth each time one calls - this cannot be good for public relations for what is otherwise a decent place.
