My family and I had a great experience. My kids ages are 8, 6, 5, and 3 and the water park was perfect for them. They were all equally entertained and it was easy to keep on eye on all of them if[More]
they were in different areas of the waterpark. The extra eyes of the lifeguards were also very comforting as well.
We were traveling with a group of several families and were suppose to have a block of rooms in the same area but when we first checked in we were spread out on different floors and different parts of the hotel. However, the front desk attendant Aly went above and beyond to fix the problem and accommodate our group. She was very friendly and very helpful and kept her bright smile through the whole process.
Every employee we would run into whether in the elevator or in the hallway was very friendly and ready to help with anything. I would return for another stay and definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. [Less]
"Great Hotel, but redefines the word "suite" sound issues"
This HIExpress was *really* nice, and the employees did everything right. The problems we had were with the design and engineering, specifically sound insulation.
We had a corner room, 3rd floor,[More]
quiet weekend, yet I had to go check to make sure the door was closed because the hallway noises were so loud. Outside the building, we were awakened at 1am by police sirens somewhere in the nearby city, and at 5am by a car alarm in the parking lot. Additionally, the room had a bizarre layout that redefined the word "suite." I know that a lot of hotels these days are putting a little ridge around the middle of the room between the sofa and the bed and calling it a suite, but that's false and wrong. This "suite," in particular, wasted probably 50 square feet on hallway space and 20 square feet on bathroom floor that could have been used to make the room better. A final little thing, the fitness center was unimpressive, but better than nothing.
To be clear, and to wrap up: the layout thing is a nitpick, the service/decor/breakfast/pool were excellent, and the sound insulation was terrible. [Less]
