St. Louis – the name alone is iconic, conjuring up images of steamboats, state fairs and one of the most recognizable city skylines in the world. It’s only fitting that you kick off your St. Louis hotel stay with a visit to the famous Gateway Arch. Take the elevator to the very top, visit the Museum of Westward Expansion, or just wander around Jefferson Expansion National Memorial Park, soaking in the rich history and culture of downtown St. Louis.
Hop on the MetroLink light rail for easy access to Grand Center, St. Louis’ performing arts and museum district, or Delmar Loop, a revitalized downtown area that offers trendy shops, diverse restaurants and sidewalk cafes – perfect for people watching on a sunny St. Louis day. An eclectic mix of antique shops, boutiques, and fine art galleries make the Central West End a pleasure to explore – not to mention, the beautifully ornate Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, which boasts 83,000 sq. ft of mosaic tile!
If the weather’s nice during your visit to our St. Louis hotels, plan a day trip to Forest Park or see what’s in bloom at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Of course, any time is a good time to partake in one of the city’s major sporting events. Head to Busch Stadium to see the 2006 World Series Champion Cardinals play or grab a seat at Edward Jones Dome at the America’s Center, stomping ground of the St. Louis Rams. You’ll find that both these venues are conveniently located to the city’s central business district and convention center. And if you’re still not ready to end the night, you can easily make your way to Lumiere Place, a mega gaming and entertainment complex that boasts casinos, restaurants, bars and more!

The only hiccups that I had (it really wasn't a big deal) were that 1. vending machine wasn't working properly (but the hotel clerk did refund my money), 2. did have a little issue with my hotel key on the second night, 3. the towels were not replenished and the garbage wasn't emptied upon my request until I had to call the front desk again. Other than that, I was pretty much satisfied with my stay. I would definitely stay in this hotel when I come back just to visit! [Less]
