Make yourself at home in our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Mount Pleasant. In no time you’ll be strolling the Avenue of Oaks at Boone Hall Plantation or dining on sweet Lowcountry shrimp.
Just a bridge away from the cobblestone streets of historic Charleston, Mount Pleasant lies in South Carolina’s picturesque Lowcountry. Walk the landscaped parks and stroll past pastel-hued mansions fronting the harbor. Across the battery wall is Fort Sumter, where the first shot of the Civil War was fired in 1861. Our Mount Pleasant hotels are near Boone Hall Plantation, an 18th-century cotton and pecan plantation. The cathedral of moss-draped oaks on Boone Hall's Avenue of Oaks was first planted in 1743. Walk in the shoes of plucky sailors on the decks of the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown—also known as the Fighting Lady—at the Patriot Points Naval and Maritime Museum.
Our hotels in Mount Pleasant are close to roadside basket stands selling sweetgrass baskets, fashioned by local artisans. These densely woven baskets make fine, affordable gifts. My husband and I spent a couple of nights at your hotel. We were very impressed from the moment that we arrived. Check in was quick and efficient. When making reservations, I had asked for a room[More]
above the 3rd floor and got one on the 5th floor. Room was clean, attractive and comfortable. Breakfasts were enjoyable and there was always plenty of room. Also enjoyed grabbing a cup of hot coffee on our way back to our room at the end of the day. Front desk was helpful and made arrangements for our scheduled tour for the next day. We had convenient pick up by the tour bus the following morning. After our day touring we took a free shuttle to the Visitors' Centre and there changed to board the shuttle that took us very close to the hotel. We could see the pool from our balcony door. Although we did not have enough time to use it, it looked like a good size with plenty of lounge chairs. We also ran into some folks who were there on business and appreciated the fitness center. Overall we were so impressed with our stay here and look forward to staying at a Holiday Inn Express again. [Less]
