Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great room, no A/C or breakfast. We checked in on Thursday July 10th. The staff at check-in were great. We had a suite and were there for All-Star State Baseball. When we arrived in our room it was very warm and stuffy. The A/C showed it was at 70 so I turned it down to 65. The compressor did kick on and seemed to be working. Our friends arrived and we met them for dinner. Upon returning to our room it was no cooler then before and the A/C was not running. I turned it down to 60 and it kicked back on, ran for a little while and shut back off. It did not come on again until my husband shut it off, let it sit and turned it back on. It would then do the same thing. This continued through the night making it very uncomfortable as in was in the 90's. The next morning the boys had to be at the ball fields at 8AM. When they went down for breakfast the cook did not show up for work and there was very little for breakfast. I do not blame the hotel for this as I know you cannot control employees behavior, however, we did not have time to take the kids elsewhere for breakfast. I told the front desk person about the A/C before we left. When we returned to the room it was again very warm. I called the front desk and let them know. The morning person was dealing with the breakfast issue and I did not blame him for not addressing it. We left for our second game and returned to the same conditions. My husband again turned it off and back on and it started to run. Maintenance arrived shortly after and said it was working right and there was nothing he could do since it was working. I explained what had been happening and he agreed it did not feel close to 65 in our room but again said there was nothing he could do while it was working. This continued onto Saturday. I was just getting ready to call the front desk again when we had a knock on the door. It was someone from the hotel staff asking how our stay was. I explained the A/C situation to her. She removed the thermostat, took out the batteries and replaced them and said if it didn't work to let them know the next day. I told her we were checking out the next day so she asked me to leave a note. It never did work. We had a beautiful room and it is a beautiful hotel but very disappointing returning to a hot room after being in the sun for baseball all day. July 16, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super place to stay So comfortable and quiet. Kids loved the pool and all of us loved the breakfast, too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks! July 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and Comfortable - relaxing stay This hotel is pretty new and everything about it is fresh and tidy. The rooms are in great shape and the pool and hot tub are, too. There was nothing about our stay here that would make me wince at the memory. Nothing smelled bad, the linens and towels were fresh, and things are well maintained. There are only 2 things I noticed that could be considered drawbacks. Our 2 queen room did not have a little fridge. We were traveling with a cooler so we accessed the ice machine and kept things on ice and it wasn't a problem. I'm sure the suites have fridges so if you need one, ask ahead. The second things is that the location is convenient to the I-15 and several restaurants and stores but that does come with a bit of traffic noise. Of course the hotel can't control which guests or locals drive trucks without mufflers but hopefully it isn't the hotel staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Helena. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smoky room Overall this property is good--up to the usual standards of the brand. However our room had clearly been 'mitigated' from a prior occupant smoking in the room and the 'mitigation' failed miserably. The room was also not as clean as we expect. The location is also not ideal with only a few feet between the property and the back of a large discount store which provided our only view--awful considering how lovely the local scenery can be. Poor choice of location all around. July 7, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff Great staff, very helpful and so nice. Room was very clean, breakfast area was clean, food was good different breakfast each morning. Only problem was a smell of some kind in the front door area. No big problem just used a little perfume. Would recommend to others. Near all the stores and restaurants. July 2, 2014
