Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by nice property, HORRIBLE beds I am a platinum member, and I travel almost every week. I don't normally write reviews, but I thought this was worth explaining. The hotel itself is nice, they have remodeled and updated. However they did not update their beds, and in my 12 years of traveling for business purposes, I think that this was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. I thought maybe it was just my room, but I talked to several of my colleagues and they said the same thing. Those beds had to have been there as long as the hotel, and they really need to be replaced. May 2, 2013

This was a nice facility with good location but, the bed was unsleepable. I have never experenced a bed so hard any where. This review is a worning for the customer and the facility, if your customer can't sleep, you have lost them. March 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Staff and Service makes up for physical appearance I stayed at this location when I was in town for an English conference at Brasstown Bald. The physical appearance is not much to write home about--the carpets and fixtures have certainly seen better days and not all the lamps worked in the room for some reason. Also the Jacuzzi was broken--the jets worked but the water was lukewarm at best. The pool area in general is pretty rough--cracked plaster and dingy windows, not very inviting or relaxing. However, don't judge a book by its cover! The staff was incredibly friendly and they more than made up for the physical appearance. Check-in was a breeze and they provided an excellent dinner recommendation. Also, they had a DVD player and other supplies that my roommate and I needed to complete our presentation. If you have to be in this area, I would definitely reccomend this establishment! March 4, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Needs some updating desperately! The staff, the property and the overall value were super. The problem was with the room. It had a bad smell in some parts of the room and the furniture, especially the chairs, was worn out. For everything regarding this hotel we could give a 5 star rating except for the carpet cleanliness and the desk chair, other chairs and loveseat/pull-out bed/sofa. These items were in really bad worn-out condition. The hotel really needs to replace these items in order to stay at five-star rating. It is unfortunate that they've let their furnishings get in such shabby shape. If not for this, we'd highly recommend. We love HIE and this unit is a good one, but they need to do something about the funky, dirty and worn out furnishings. Thank you. December 14, 2012

Convenient location, friendly staff, hote was very quiet considering there were several high school wrestling teams there. Could be time to update the beds and carpets but room was very clean overall. Would stay again. December 7, 2012
