I've stayed at this hotel once a year for 4 years. I like it and will stay there again. It's nice and clean and a good value. But there is a problem. My room mate and I had both of our room keys fail four times during our two night stay. That means between us we made 8 trips in two days to the front desk to get a key that would work. When I made my third trip to the front desk for a new key I told my room mate. He tested his new key and now it no longer worked so he made his third trip to the front desk. When he returned, I decided to try my key again and it no longer worked. So i took both keys back to the front deck and got them re-programmed. Then NEITHER key worked. Finally the clerk got new plastic cards and reprogrammed both and they worked. But that was too late to avoid a very inconvenient problem. I hope they figure out the problem and get it fixed. This is why I rated the room a 2 and staff a 3. If that hadn't happened I'd raise the rating a notch.

I stay here every week or two , I can always count on Sondra and her staff to have the place in A-1 SHAPE......keep up the great job Sondra and your staff also :-)................thank you for working so hard to give us traveler's a great place to rest.....

The hot rolls on Mon morning were stale. They tasted like they were kept from the day before and this was 7:30 am.

I stayed here one night, on the first floor. The hotel is pretty rundown, and smells like sewage. I will not stay there again.

thanks for the hospitality. Your staff are great. My son and I really enjoyed our visit to Hillsboro HI. We will be back. Only downside are your local Police. After 33 years of driving all over the world with no accident and no tickets of any sort, I get my first in Hillsboro. Seems like your Police have nothing else to do but pull people over when driving 5 MPH over the speed limit. Just some local feedback not related to your hotel. I noticed lots of people pulled in over the same Easter weekend. So, it was not only me. However, we enjoyed your hotel very much. Thanks again.
We loved the Nicholas Cage April Fool idea. My son took various pictures of them and posted them on internet. Shows your creativity.

The smoke area is to close to the entrance, too many people out there and when entering the fron door, you get a good whip of the smoke..

Work area was immediately next to the air conditioner. It was impossible to use work area due to cold air continually blowing on you. Check in attendant was friendly. When checking out the attendant did not ask if we enjoyed our stay and did not thank us for staying with them.
