Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Competent front desk. We arrived early and were able to check in. We had 2 rooms and were assigned adjoining rooms. Great attitude when I asked if we checked out 30 min. later in case we were running behind. My only minor complaint is that both rooms had previous customers leftovers in the mini frig. Having had previous experience in the hospitality industry, I do understand the limited time housekeeping has for each room. I also feel we as customers should also take responsibility in showing respect during our stay. July 8, 2014

Me agradó todo! el desayuno incluido en el precio por noche es excelente! aunque el breakfast bar se ve pequeño tiene de todo, el cheese omelet y scrambled eggs son riquísimos, todo fresco y del día. El shuttle service within 5 miles service (gratis) es perfecto para quienes van al centro de Hillsboro o a los al rededores como los edificios de Intel o a las estaciones del MAX. El personal es muy amable y muy comprometido a dar un buen servicio a los huéspedes siempre con una sonrisa, todos desde el front desk hasta la encargada del housekeeping fueron excelentes. Un diez de calificación a todo el personal :) Recomiendo este hotel a quienes busquen hospedarse por esta zona. Otra ventaja es su ubicación teniendo justo al cruzar la Cornell Road la bonita zona de Orenco donde se puede ir caminando y encontrar coffee shops, food market, restaurantes y más. July 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good service, noisy hallways Overall I had a good experience staying at this hotel. I did give lower scores due to the noise level. Walls are not sound proof. Noise level in the hallways and doors slamming shut by it's self contributed to an overall less relaxing environment. Location is key for me for continuously choosing this hotel. I noticed some on-going construction with rooms being upgraded to look more modern. I still stayed in one of the older more dated rooms. June 17, 2014

Very convenient location within walking distance to the Tri-Met Orenco Station, shopping and dining. Large mall within a couple of miles as well as a hiking trail. Slightly off the main road so it was very quiet. Room was pleasant, comfortable, convenient and spacious. No problems with WiFi. April 3, 2014

We always choose to stay here because it offers everything we need as a hotel, as well as things near by the location. Gordon and the staff have always been great to work with. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable room, good service This is the second time recently that my wife and I have stayed at the Holiday Inn in Hillsboro, OR. We enjoyed the room more than other motels we had previously stayed at in Hillsboro. The only thing that was bothersome is that the bed is too close to the wall on one side, and it made getting into and out of bed on that side annoying; the bed was very supportive and comfortable. The breakfast choices were good for us. The underground parking was especially helpful as both times there was snow, a lot during the second stay. February 13, 2014

There were some irregular thumping noises, making sleep difficult. The hotel fire alarm went off at 2:30 a.m. We awoke, dressed and went down to the lobby, along with MANY others. It was a false alarm. Unfortunately this incident had a generally negative effect on our stay. December 2, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room The room was very nice, although the bathroom was much smaller than I have seen in (perhaps newer) Holiday Inn Express Hotels. Everything was clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was OK - plenty of choices (including steamed rice!), but the bacon was limp and greasy and the eggs didn't taste right - like they were powdered or something. My only actual frustration was as I was trying to check out - at 20 minutes before the check-out time. The front desk staff was nowhere to be seen. I waited a while, and eventually the van driver went to look for him. Apparently he was in the bathroom. I felt bad for the poor guy... but still... I had to wait about 25 minutes to check out and was later than I had planned getting on the road. Maybe they need more than one person capable of checking guests out at around that time of day... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Stayed here while visiting in Hillsboro. Location was perfect. Great access to Orenco Station stores, Max and nice walking paths. The staff was very attentive, the breakfast selection was above average and very well attended. Underground parking was great because it rained a lot during our stay. Only downside was the last night the person in the room next to us was speaking very loud and the walls didn't keep the sound from coming into our room. Other than that, it was fairly quiet. It is therefore imperative that when I do travel, I experience accomadations that do not impact my capabilities to accomadate my customer, but rather enhance it. I have stayed with Gordon (GM) and his staff for approximately 3 months to date. From day one, my experience with the staff here has been nothing less than exceptional, professional and of the utmost hospitality I have ever experienced in any other hotel while I have worked in Hillsboro. Gordon has an energetic staff that goes the extra mile to accomadate all of their guests. Thier ability to balance professionalism and just plain "down home" hospitality is a charectorisitc that is hard to find and I would definately recommend their facility for whatever your needs are. We live two hours away, and usually have a room at my daughters, but In-Laws flew, drove, and took a train to be in Beaverton for my Granddaughter's 3rd birthday and Grandson's Baptism. I ended up with no place to sleep, So I checked into the Holiday Inn in Hillsboro. I had a Fantastic King Room with a HUGE TV. Nice AC and the room was nice and quiet. Breakfast every morning, and each night i got back, my room was completely clean, And the bed was all made up... just asking to be crawled back into.... such a Fantastically comfortable bed!!!! with 4 pillows. just wonderful!!! Holiday Inn is right by the Max station, and right by shopping, all types of food, clubs... Great Location, AND even has an Underground parking to keep you dry while unpacking/packing the car. Very secure, had to have your room key to open the gate. The Staff was VERY nice, and next time, there isn't room for me at my daughter's house... I'm checking in at the Holdiay Inn!!!! They knew we were part of the wedding party, even though we had not book with the block of rooms for the wedding, which made the stay feel more personal. They went the extra mile for us when we had a few special requests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine but nothing out of the ordinary for a free continental breakfast. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Typical HIE but bad management The hotel itself is decent - good location in Hillsboro being near to most things but set back off the main road a bit. Hotel interior and rooms were clean and typical of a Holiday Inn Express. Only bad thing as whirlpool room was closed to renovations (and smelled strongly of chlorine just outside the elevators). Hotel service was a mixed bag. Check in later in the evening on a Friday was wonderful. Desk manager was thorough, friendly and a pleasure to interact with (significantly better than your average hotel). The next day? Way down hill. Five year old daughter left her stuffed animal tiger in the bed when we left the room and checked out. Shortly after leaving hotel we realized this and we called and were told that they'd check for it and we should call back again later (nice personal service, eh?). We were not far away, so we swung by about 30 minutes later. The desk manager, Sam, was somewhere between completely disinterested and overtly rude to my wife. He said "nothing yet, but we'll email you if we find it" and then turned his back to her (no other customers to service at the time either). Wife told him that there would be a crushed little girl over this and he ignored her. September 8, 2013

Breakfast is available everyday which is nice. There is a variety of things to eat. Still would love to see more home made things instead of instant things, but all in all, a good variety and the taste was good. The room was huge with a king bed and very comfortable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service From the moment we called to make a last minute reservation for my mother-in-law, to leaving the property, the service at this Holiday Inn Express was excellent. Robert, the manager, greeted us warmly, got us settled into rooms that were across the hall from each other, even before the designated time of 3:00 pm, and checked that everything would fulfill our needs. He even let us know that the steps behind the hotel might be difficult for my mother-in-law to get up, so recommended we park in front. The next morning we witnessed him cleaning tables in the breakfast area and greeting all the guests. The breakfast crew were wonderful. They filled the trays as quickly as possible and were very pleasant. Only one suggestion: bigger bathrooms Thanks for an excellent stay! September 6, 2013
