The hotel is comfortable and the staff is great. My only recommendation is to update the linens and towels.

I made my reservation on the phone with Holiday Inn Reservations and indicated that I was traveling with a cat. The reservation confirmation indicated that I should confirm directly with the hotel regarding pets. I called the hotel directly, requested a non-smoking room (I was recovering from bronchitis at the time) and they confirmed a non-smoking room and that I was traveling with a pet.
When I arrived at 11pm, they told me that they did not have a non-smoking room available for me because of the cat. I indicated that I spoke to Holiday, and to the front desk at that hotel, and all was confirmed. The lady was very rude and told me I should just go "smell the smoking room" they wanted to put me in. She finally agreed to call someone after 15 minutes of pure frustration. Whoever she called agreed to put me in a non-smoking room.
Warning to other travelers with pets: Don't trust the fact that you spoke with someone at the front desk if you want a non-smoking pet room. You may be in for a rude awakening like I was.

Excellent hotel that exceeded our expectations. From front desk check in to breakfast staff and food in the morning, it was excellent!
