I was told the hotel was recently renovated. Lobby and outside were nice enough. Room seemed to have new wallpaper but the funiture seemed old and the bathroom door was so noisy opening and closing that it woke everyone up in the middle of the night. For th most part the room was clean. I spent the previous night at a Holiday Inn Express in Fayetteville, NC that was in the middle of renovating and it was 10 times better than this hotel....room, hotel and staff. I expected more for the price of the room!! The breakfast choices were ok but unfortunately the eggs were very dried out. I would recommend this hotel because it was clean but I personally don't feel the hotel and room were worth the price we paid.

It was so nice to be greeted with a friendly smile...and being a Platimum Member we were upgraded to a suite...very comfortable and very clean!

This was my first time here, and it is already my second favorite Holiday Inn Express in all of Virginia (to Fredericksburg). The place was immaculately clean. The place was well-insulated (a complaint at some of IHG hotels), the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was better than most, offering waffles and french toast as well. If you get tired of hotel food, there is a Shoney's Restaurant across the parking lot, which has some great country cooks working there. One of the best Shoney's anywhere in the United States!
If my job takes me back into this part of Virginia, I shall stay here again!!

This hotel was excellent with their service, cleanliness and hospitality! After a long day on the Blue Ridge Parkway we were thrilled to get into our room for some rest and relaxation! Everyone from the front desk to the staff in the breakfast room were so very friendly! We look forward to staying in the Hillsville Holiday Inn Express again in the near future!

The hotel, room, and staff were pleasant.
Good stop over hotel going towards NY City.
Highway is not friendly if you pass the hotel and have to turn around.
Friendly and helpful gas station next door.

As traveling "seniors" it is VERY important for us to feel safe when we stay in hotels. We most certainly were safe here. Room was clean, bath was clean and there was no noise except for a trash truck (thankfully picking up stinky stuff!). We've enjoyed each stay with a Holiday Inn these past few years. And a reminder to all hotel managers...in the next few years approximately 80% of current working people will be retiring...are you ready for them?

I am a frequent business traveler and often stay at HIX. This was my first time staying in Hillsville. Unfortunately while watching TV, I noticed a mouse running from under the bed to the TV stand. The staff apologized and let me move to another room, however, I was a little suprised they did not offer me a discount.

My wife and I stayed at this Inn and loved it. The staff and room were excellent and the location to the freeway was marvelous. I recommend this stay.

After driving 500 miles, the weather was getting bad with rain and fog, so we decided to look for a place to stay for the night. We saw the sign and exited the interstate. The Holiday Inn Express was right off the interstate with easy access and good restaurants nearby. The room was very nice and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. Breakfast was ready by 6:15 a.m. even though it was advertised for 6:30 a.m. The food was hot and good. Plenty of coffee and a nice clean area for eating. The staff was very personable and made us feel welcome offering help with any of our needs. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Except for the earlier than I'm used to breakfast hours and not having any orange juice for juice selection, my stay was outstanding. The gravy and biscuits were next level.
The staff was excellent in serving my needs.
I will lodge here everytime I come to or need a stopover when I pass through Hillsville.
