Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect location between our home and Myrtle Beach We try to time our stopping point to be approx half way and this location was excellent. Bed and room were fine and the staff excellent. We would change the flo of items in the breakfast room. We had to travel back and forth. One end had the bowls and the other the oatmeal and hot water (which was mt ). Everything was good, just not organized as needed. We will stay there again. August 21, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Welcome to the 70's.... I stayed at this place for a night, and after a long day of travel, I looked forward to a great sleep, as I usually do at HI Hotels. I do use Holiday Inn every where I go, and will stay when possible, this however, should not have the logo on the outside of the building. Upon arrival, no greeting, no how are you, no nothing. Here's your stuff, good luck. We go up to our room, and walk in to the warmest, mustiest room you can imagine. It hit us when we walked in. i imagine they keep the air conditioners off to save money. Yes, it looked like this place was on its last legs. the beds were reminiscent of the worst mattresses I have ever seen, definitely not Holiday Inn quality. same with the pillows, same with the bedding, same with the dirty furniture, this was the worst, but no options, so stay for the night. The water pressure and hot water were decent. Upon checkout, i advised the staff about the room, after I interrupted her from playing games on the community computer. I had to ask if she was staff, that's how disinterested she was. She did not ask how the night was, I was upset and advised her that the conditions were horrible, and that this is a $49 night hotel, not $129 per night. Got the typical response from an employee with no power. Said she would advise the manager, but I'm sure it was forgotten the minute I walked out the door. No response from anybody to date. IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, AVOID THIS PLACE. pretty funny, the username disgruntled was taken!!! July 25, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by An average place to stay Upon calling the hotel directly because when I call the corporate number there are always something wrong, the lady at the desk said she couldn't give me the Walmart corporate rate. She told me that I had to call corporate to get rate. So called made reservation while at front desk. The stay was fine over all , but we came down for breakfast at 9 am and the biscuits were very hard. The apple juice was watered down.Upon checking out the ladie never once asked how our stay was. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Trip to Myrtle Beach My wife and I decided to take a last minute, unplanned trip to Myrtle Beach. We left our home on Thursday afternoon, and decided to stop in Hillsvile, which about the halfway point for us. We were welcomed by friendly staff and given a discount due to our time checking in. The Room was very clean, and modern. The pool and spa were an excellent way to relax. The free breakfast bar made the price of the room well worth it. After all breakfast at a decent restaurant would have cost at least $30.00. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. June 11, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Priority program means nothing here. Stopped in for a night while travelling. We did not make reservation but plenty of rooms available. We pay cash- no credit card. Night desk worker required a $50 cash security deposit on top of the already high cost of the room. The next morning at check out, while standing there in front of other customers, when we asked about getting deposit back the desk clerk blurted out "You will have to wait while I have the maid check your room" and she called on a radio asking for room to be checked, in the end there was of course no issue with the room and we were left feeling like second class customers. This will be our last "Priority" club stay. April 8, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not Impressed - But it was ok I was told the hotel was recently renovated. Lobby and outside were nice enough. Room seemed to have new wallpaper but the funiture seemed old and the bathroom door was so noisy opening and closing that it woke everyone up in the middle of the night. For th most part the room was clean. I spent the previous night at a Holiday Inn Express in Fayetteville, NC that was in the middle of renovating and it was 10 times better than this, hotel and staff. I expected more for the price of the room!! The breakfast choices were ok but unfortunately the eggs were very dried out. I would recommend this hotel because it was clean but I personally don't feel the hotel and room were worth the price we paid. January 31, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Out of the Way Hotel This was my first time here, and it is already my second favorite Holiday Inn Express in all of Virginia (to Fredericksburg). The place was immaculately clean. The place was well-insulated (a complaint at some of IHG hotels), the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was better than most, offering waffles and french toast as well. If you get tired of hotel food, there is a Shoney's Restaurant across the parking lot, which has some great country cooks working there. One of the best Shoney's anywhere in the United States! If my job takes me back into this part of Virginia, I shall stay here again!! December 11, 2012
