My wife and I had a terrific experience. The staff was nice. The building, halls, elevator, dinning, room and bathroom was clean and refreshing.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 An average stay at an average hotel
If you're looking for a decent place to stay that is quiet and clean, then look no further. The price is average, and what you normally expect at a Holiday Inn Express. I travel quite a bit for work and this is a typical one night hotel experience. The room was clean and orderly, and the sheets appeared to be washed.
The bad, and this seems to be with all Holiday Inn hotels that I stay in, the internet was slow and hard to connect to. I understand that it was late in the evening when everyone is online checking email, reading the news, or whatever. But better load planning for peak times needs to be calculated. If I have to wait 20 minutes for a page to load, that is by far too long. I had to give up eventually and use my cell phone to connect to the internet to check my email. However, this is a fairly common issue with all Holiday Inn Hotels that I've stayed at. Don't offer wireless as a teaser! Put more routers in and increase the bandwidth to handle peak times. There was an Ethernet cable connection that I tried also, but it was the same thing. It wouldn't even let me connect to the log in page.
And another note. I went to iron my shirt that I had brought to wear the next day, and the iron was the cheapest thing a business could purchase. It was a cheap "Sunbeam," something that you could find at Wal-Mart for $9. I don't expect a professional iron, but this one was junk. When I went to put water in the iron, the cap that was suppose to keep the water in was missing. And when I went to iron my clothes, instead of getting stream all I got was water leaking on my shirt. I had to resort to old method of turning the shower on its highest temperature and basically creating a sauna and letting the shirt be steamed. So in effect, this hotel's dilapidated iron cost the rest of the people in Louisville a waste of water. I don't remember how long I ran the shower to get the bathroom at the right humidity to cause the wrinkles to fall out, but I can assure that it was too long. Especially when it all could have been avoided by spending a few more dollars on an iron.
Stay at this hotel, just know what you are getting.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by scottm75 Convenient location
Stayed here in the past. Convenient location to the locations of interests for my visit to Louisville. Comfortable beds, nice breakfast in the morning. Would consider this location again.
