Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cancellation Policy/General Manager in Hobbs, NM My secretary called the hotel directly at 12:00 noon central (11:00 AM Mountain) on August 19, 2014 to inform them that my flight from Omaha to Houston was delayed causing me to miss my Houston to Hobbs connection. She attempted to cancel my room for the first night of 8/19, but tell them I would still use the reservation for following 2 nights of 8/20 and 8/21. She was told by clerk that she could not cancel my reservation. She asked to speak to the manager, she got the "General Manager" on the phone and he said that he would not cancel the first night of room without 24 hour notice. Upon arriving to check in 8/20 I figured I would straighten out the misunderstanding then. Same deal, the clerk on duty had our reservation held separately and said she had been told by the GM that she could not refund my money for the 8/19 unused reservation. I asked to speak to the GM and clerk replied that he worked from 0900 AM to 300 PM daily and I could talk with him then. This small window did not agree with my work schedule. End of the day, I will not be back to this location in Hobbs and am considering taking Holiday Inn off my list all together. I am a IHG Gold Elite member due to my frequent stays. There are several new hotels being built in Hobbs area. If customer treatment like this continues I am confident you will lose additional business. August 27, 2014
