Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Recommended plase to stay It is good place for stay. I hade single room with king bed. It was clean and comfortable. Atmosphere very quite. Very helpful Receiprion staff. I have 1 aceptable minus. Room has centralised Automated climat control for +20C. I changed for comfortable for me 22-23. After some time it automaticaly changed in to 20C. Usually at nignt. I felt it by my nose. June 5, 2013

This was our first visit to Holland and the staff helped to make a first good impression. The room was clean and comfortable. Located near the airport. We used the hotel shuttle upon arrival. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most pleased We arrived to find 3 very helpful staff pleasant, personable, and willing to help. It got better from there as we unlocked the door on our fourth floor room to find well designed and comfortable surroundings with plenty of amenities to ease our trip weariness such as an excellent shower, comfy beds and convenient outlets to power up our mobiles for the next days touring. And it still got better as we awoke the next day and headed down stairs for breakfast. The free breakfast was full of choice and well looked after and clean. Great coffee choices. The only bothersome part of our stay was the charge for a return trip to the airport, I think this is the first time that we have come across a charge such as this where to the hotel is no cost but there is a charge to get back to the airport. Other than that our stay for 4 days was simply great. We would highly recommend the Hoofddorp. This hotel was the third Express on our trip which included the Paris airport Roissy and the Dublin airport Northwood Park Santry Express. All of these have been above and beyond for our experience in comfort, cleanliness and friendly staff. May 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good location, good service and clean The hotel is 5 minutes by bus to the Schiphol departure terminal, and 15-30 minutes by car to Keukenhof area. There are few restaurants near by such as McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza, and you can ask front desk attendant to order it for you. We were arrived before check in time, and I showed my priority card member, and the front desk attendant gave us a room available at the moment. Beside that, the hotel just as other standard HIEx hotel, which is clean, comfortable, with international standard service of HI. We stayed a night there and we were happy. May 14, 2013

The hotel offers free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, but it costs 7.50 euro pp to ride the shuttle from the hotel to the airport. The hotel is not near any convenient food locations. There were 2 restaurants mentioned by the staff and they were both expensive. The hotel does not have dining facilities, so we had no choice but to choose 1 of the restaurants. The room itself was fine. It was clean. No special amenities. No room safe. We chose this hotel because we had an early morning flight and thought the hotel was near the airport. Would not recommend. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Unattractive location, but good room and good sleep Not a great location despite free shuttle from Airport (you have to pay the return trip to the airport), pretty far from nearest train station (make sure you have enough euro coins with you as there are no counter) around 15mins walk. I have had a good sleep nevertheless. Room is very clean with good size and amenities. Definitely better than Ibis. April 18, 2013

The reason why I wouldn't recommend it is because of their misleading advertising with regards to the airport shuttle. The website states "enjoy our complimentary shuttle from the airport to the hotel" It leads you to believe the shuttle to the airport would also be for free or otherwise they'd clarify it, right? Well, no. When you arrive the staff informs you that to go back to the airport you have to pay 7.5 Euro per guest to use the shuttle, apparently it's much more expensive for the hotel to drive in the opposite direction. Breakfast and internet included are a good plus, though. April 18, 2013

It would be, however, nice if the shuttle and the parking will be available complimentary as part of the service (we stayed 3 nights....). Also I missed an inhouse restaurant for dinner. On this occasion it was only overnight, we were tied into a late arrival and very early departure however, we found the hotel very friendly, convenient and looked after very well by the staff. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location and great staff I dont usually leave reviews but I have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is excellent for friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness and comfort and location. It is a very quiet hotel and it felt like we were the only people on our floor. I have a few tips if here sightseeing. Walk the 5 mins to the train and it will cost you Euro 8.20 each return to Amsterdam Central and although we weren't aware when we booked, there is an really good shopping centre/outlet mall about 10 mins walk from the hotel in Hoofddorp. Great bargains and had the designer names at outlet prices. Also Toys R Us there which was great as we struggled to get gifts for our grandchildren in the centre of Amsterdam. Walk 200 yds from front of hotel to Planetenweg, turn right and you will come to Kruisweg. Turn left and 10 mins from there is Hoofddorp centre with the malls and lots of takeaways etc. This was a much more relaxed holiday then last time in Amsterdam centre, cost a fraction of the price with breakfast included and great location for public transport or hotel shuttle bus. The hotel was clean and inviting, and a wonderful location to the airport. Our experience certainly added to our enjoyment of our trip. As good as the amenities were, the staff made the difference! My highest recommendation comes from interaction with Brandon, Sharon, Merlijn, Natasja, etc.. You need to give this fine people a raise - they are the reason I would come back more than any other reason! I have misplaced the name of the manager on duty (she had round glasses) - she is a jewel! April 4, 2013

Then you go down for breakfast and each slice of ham and cheese is individually wrapped. What next individually wrapped flakes of corn for breakfast? Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Away from everything Stayed overnight. Weather was cold just at freezing temperature. The hotel itself is good, but is in a location that if far away from everything. No shutle to any location nearby. No shutle to trains, which is misserable during cold spells. Shuttle from airport is free, but you have to pay for shuttle to airport. Facilities were clean and new, and had a nice lounge. Very basic health and relaxing facilities Had scheduled a return stay, and I camcelled to pick a more convenient choice March 18, 2013

The staff handle our early check in, booked us a car in the morning for the airport and even fixed us a breakfast to go as our flight was before the breakfast area opened. Breakfast can be better but not big complain. Unfortunately no restaurant but you ask for take away. Not always good but better than nothing. Otherwise 10 min walking you can find some place to eat. What I don't like is paying city taxes and bus to airpot....You shoul add them already in the rate when someone book it ! March 12, 2013
