Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK I've stayed at this HIE location several times over the years and it's been a good place to stop. This time there appeared to be some confusion with front desk personnel upon check-in and the room we were assigned was on the ground level and the smell of mold was overpowering. Front desk was surprised to hear of the mold smell, but given the nature of this problem it's not something that just popped up overnight...housekeeping should have noticed and reported it. Carpeting appeared soiled, but perhaps it was the color that gave it that appearance. Breakfast bar was well stocked and maintained by attendant who takes pride in her work. Hotel was quiet at night and would chock up the mold issue as an isolated issue. Will probably stay here again on next trip thru the area but if problems persist I'll stay elsewhere. May 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Over-all Experience I will stay at Holiday Inn Express first if one is available....based on this experience. One thing that stood out to me was the willingness to help. There was a lady on the phone needing assistance with transportation from the airport and they stayed on the phone for quite a while trying to work it out. The lady was obviously repeating herself over and over but the staff did not get irritated or rude. My room was exactly what I expected. No surprises. May 7, 2015
