Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent staff; smelly, smokey room The front desk and breakfast room staff were excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and efficient. The non-smoking room I was given smelled heavily of smoke. This decreased after running the AC for the evening, but returned when the fan turned off during that time. It seemed to come either from the AC vent itself, the fabrics and textiles in the room, or poor circulation in the room. The smell was disruptive and permeated my belongings. June 26, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by it was "OK" It was an "ok" place to stay but we will look for something else next time. It will probably still be a Holiday Inn Express, but not this one. It was plenty spendy.....neithor the check inn nor the check out staff could care less whether or not we were there. Pan cake maker was out of order. No one was taking care of the breakfast room/area. Having just spent the last 7 nights at Holiday Inns or Holiday Inn Express, this was the only one we probably won't return too. June 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great breakfast, clean room and kind staff We originally had planned to stay for one night and the second in cabins for an overnight program but after the first night we wanted to come back so we stayed another night. I enjoyed the clean rooms - no musty smell or stains on the carpeting. My only complaint about the room was the air that came out of the vent blew right on me, which I didn't like. But since we got to the room so late and were in bed by the time I noticed it, I didn't have the energy to turn the light on and try and adjust it (so I'm not sure if it can even be changed). In any case, breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly (especially the morning breakfast woman who greeted us with a smile). We have another event to attend to in the fall and I'm already planning in coming back. June 10, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location, older hotel, ugly view from room The receptionist when I checked in was not the friendliest person, but was not rude either. The hotel as a whole was very old and showed it, e.g. carpets, walls, décor. When I got to my room and looked out the window I was very disappointed. My view was a fenced in area with their dumpster, maintenance equipment, and electric poles and lines. The beds were comfortable, room was clean. I could not figure out the heater/AC, but was able to crack the window. The breakfast area was well stocked and a good selection. I stayed on a rewards night, so I do not know what the rate of the hotel is normally. I would only stay at this hotel again, if the rate was lower than competitors. The location was great for my reason of being in the area though. May 20, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfy, clean and convenient to the airport! We always enjoy our stays at Holiday Inn. The rooms are very comfy and clean, with everything we need. Breakfast is a very nice freebie! We have always been on the ground floor, but on our last stay we were on the second floor. We noticed a lot more highway noise up there! Other than that we are extremely satisfied with both Holiday Inns in the Elmira/Horseheads area! March 25, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Loud heaters This hotel has the loudest heaters I have ever seen in a Holiday Inn. It turned on every 30 minutes all night. I didnt sleep at all. There was also no way to turn it off. I will not return to this hotel February 11, 2014

Recently, I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for 3 months and must say, the staff at this location is 2nd to none! From the top management to all staff, I cannot express how thankful I am for the hospitality you've exhibited during the stay, and while my family visited. Thank you!! The hotel itself could use a modern update but I'll take it with the friendly staff over the local competition any day. I definitely recommend and look forward to staying there in the future! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay in an old facility This hotel met all of the usual HI expectations for a traveler. We had just stayed in a brand new HI in Clearfield, PA so this building being 60+ years old, just fell a little short. The structural décor was old with the old popcorn type ceiling but the furnishings were definitely up to par. The bathroom was really cramped, very typical of the old style. But, the staff could not have been friendlier, the bed was comfy and the breakfast was good. Stay tuned though, 2014 is going to bring either a major remodeling or a complete rebuilding. TBD! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by All good except WiFi We stayed one night will visiting the Corning Museum of Glass. The hotel is convenient to Corning and has a nice selection of restaurants nearby. The hotel staff were very nice even calling our room to make sure everything was alright. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The only problem we had was the WiFI was spotty in the room. The WiFI was weak and I could not use my iPad in the bed. October 9, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would not stay here again We checked in using a rewards night. We were given a room that supposedly was smoke free but smelled like the last occupant had been a smoker. The room was dirty. I contacted the front desk and the did move me to another room but this one wasnt much better. The only difference I could see, other than the room being larger, was the absence of the smokers smell. The room was still dingy and was in severe need of remodeling. I was not offered and return of the points I had used to stay here nor was I ever contacted by the manager to address the issues we encountered. I did have to use Customer Service to get the room changed. The overall impression of the hotel led us to go to Mc Donalds for breakfast instead of getting the breakfast at the hotel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bed/cleanliness of room There was dry cereal under the entertainment center, very visible to anyone sitting on the bed as well as under the desk. Notl the worst thing in the world but one wonders about the vacuuming. I was in a room with two beds. At about 8PM the sound of some type of machine/equipment started, a distinct humming sound. Very low but audible. The bed closes to the window also started to vibrate very subtly, like this room was on top of a compressor or some similar machine. It seemed minor enough and I didn't want to repack and move to another room so I just continued to watch TV. After about an hour I found myself nauseous and decided to switch beds. When I got off the bed I found my self to be dizzy for about 20 minutes. It all cleared and I moved to the second bed. When I went to sleep at around 11PM, the hum and subtle vibration was still gong on. In addition, the refrigerator was now also humming. All very subtle but also annoying after a while. On the upside, when I called the front dest because the TV did not come on, a maintainence person came to the room immediately and realized that the wire was loose on the back of the TV. The linens and blanket/coverlet were clean and soft with big fluffy pillows. Ample amounts/types of food were available and the staff kept everything filled. August 23, 2013

The staff were excellent, rooms were clean but we didn't realize that the hotel had a major elevated highway that ran immediately adjacent to the 2nd floor rooms! The traffic noise was constant and the pool is situated where the highway and major road intersect. I cannot see how it would be relaxing to sunbathe and swim withing 60' of a highway that looks down onto the pool! Photos of the property are misleading. August 21, 2013

The staff were accommodating and found another room that we could move to. Our children were disappointed that the outdoor pool was so cold. August 16, 2013
