Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel This hotel was lovely decor, very clean and very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was good. Only complaint, at check-in there was only one desk clerk on duty and she was very busy. The waiting line was considerable. I really feel discounted when the desk clerk has to answer the phone (once or multiple times) while I wait. April 21, 2015

HIG has a reasonable price and since I have stayed all across the USA and at many location in Houston I should know. Nice to be close to medical center and not need oxygen when bill is delivered. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wasted a rewards night I've stayed in Holiday Inn's across the nation. It is my go to for business and leisure, however this one was a huge disappointment. I made a reservation using my rewards for 4 people (2 adults, 2 children). We were utterly disappointed. The room was a "suite" but barely large enough for 3. The "pull out" was a small, one person futon. We were provided a roll away for our 2nd child however, there was no space in the room to put it. We had to move furniture to squeeze it in and ended up walking over it the entire stay. Also, the room was only set up for 3 people. We had to request extra supplies. There was only 1 staff on duty so we had to get everything ourselves each time to include the roll away bed. The breakfast the next morning was not good. The staff was not knowledgeable either and the room was dusty. Several items I've come accustomed to at this chain were either not available or not good. Very disappointed that I wasted a reward night I could have used at a better IHG hotel. April 6, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location but hotel in transition I have had better experiences staying at this hotel in the past. As it appears, there must be a new owner taking over who isn't up to speed on keeping the quality at the previous owner's level. It wasn't terrible and I expect improvements over the next few months as the new owner becomes accustomed and knowledgeable about the property. I well definitely stay here again. April 1, 2015
