Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk staff Each front desk staff member was very friendly and spoke to me each time I entered or left the hotel. I probably had interface with about 5-7 different people as I passed by. One young woman in particular acted as if she was actually interested in how my day was going. I regret that I didn't look at her name tag. But, all of them were excellent in their contact with me. In fact, it was such that it was noticeable. Apparently, my floor had gone through renovation and was very nice. January 27, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor value If you normally stay at Holiday Inn Express this property is far more expensive and does not stack up to the quality of most Holiday Inn Express properties. The rooms are being made over, so that may help however the staff was not very friendly, perhaps it's the Energy Area or they were just having a bad day. I will choose a different property next time I am in Houston. January 27, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by overnight stay for my Great Granddaughter's 1st Birthday It was cold and rainy for this trip and we appreciated the close and convenience of the I-10 HIE Hotel for an overnight stay to avoid returning home a night during a heavy rainstorm. The HIE Hotel was very nice and we will plan on staying there again for future visit with my Granddaughter and her family who live near by. January 15, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by noisy, cold, and no breakfast room was fine but afternoon construction noise I was not informed of during reservation process ruined what was a required by circumstances afternoon nap. breakfast was not served until 7, and maybe not then, as we had to leave at 6:55, and no preparations had been started. In my experience at HIEs, breakfast starts at 6 and we like to take advantage of it as it is normally a better deal than most of your competition. We were genuinely disappointed. January 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor value, poor service They were in the process of remodeling, so I can forgive the noise during the day. My room was not a remodeled one, and it showed. It looked pretty worn down. The internet was unusable, I couldn't even check email, I'd get bumped off immediately. I called the front desk and asked why, and was told it was because everybody was online at the moment, which means they don't have enough capacity. I was told I'd get 2000 bonus points for my trouble, but that never happened. Based on how much the room cost, which was high even for a Holiday Inn Express, I was extremely disappointed.
