I came back because we loved it from the first time we visited. - it's close to Kingwood Medical - about a 15 min walk - staff is super friendly - loved the breakfast - the rooms are clean - the hotel smells clean when you walk in - close to the freeway August 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best location We stayed at this Holiday Inn location for a week and everything was wonderful. We were close to the mall and a variety of restaurant's. The staff were awesome, no matter how many questions I asked, they were polite and professional. The suite was pleasantly larger than I expected. But it was clean and fresh, just perfect. We came to Houston for a National track meet. I look forward to making many reservations with the Holiday Inn Express next year and many years to come. Thank you for such a delightful experience. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room was uncomfortable, very muggy Room was very uncomfortably muggy. Not hot but just muggy. After 3 days my clothes were all literally damp. And to make matters worse they no longer have a washer and dryer at this hotel like they used to. Disappointed. Other than that, room was clean. July 22, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk service is poor Customer service reps and front desk were not willing to change the date of my reservation even though they were contacted before our stay. I was told I could book for the right date and cancel the other stay by the front desk. I was not able to cancel and even though I spent a good hour on the phone with managers and customer service reps they could not help me. I was told I could have done that before my stay. I TRIED TO AND THE FRONT DESK SAID HE COULDN'T. I TRIED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ALSO COULD NOT HELP. I don't think I have ever been so mad about the way I was treated as you can probably tell. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dead bugs and frogs in pool, poor customer service Pool was dated and filled with dead insects and frogs. It took three days for any cleaning. Pool still had green walls of algae. Staff was not helpfull, outside garbage cans overflowing, Exhaust fans did not work in bathroom, and nothing was done to fix or move us to a new room June 4, 2014

The last Holiday Inn we stayed at was very clean and the staff was awesome, but the mattress needed to be replaced and I did not sleep at all. However, I decided to give Holiday Inn another chance and I was very pleased! Everything was clean, the staff was very friendly (they always are!) and the bed was awesome! I would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn near Kingwood, Texas! June 2, 2014

We came home from our out of town job, to our home that is getting updated and our bedroom was not finished. I quickly got on you hotels app and reserved us a room with our reward points. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beware! Where to begin! I am not making this up! First, my 2 RM 1 KING BED EXECUTIVE STE which was reserved and confirmed on 4/15/14 was not honored. According to the desk clerk, "he switched it" I will probably never find out, but I want to know WHY? Why was my reservation switched? Bribery perhaps? The desk clerk did call the manager and arranged for 2 rooms with one being comped. So instead of taking it out on the poor clerk who had nothing to do with this mess, I accepted the offer. It took me 35 minutes to check in! Is that Express service? Later that night someone in our wedding party was given a room key card for a room already occupied! Tragedy was narrowly averted! This is Texas, many gun owners/conceal carry holders. What if the person in the room did have a gun? The people in that room will never stay in another HIE or any hotel that does not have dead bolts to lock the room from inside! How do I know that? I talked to him the next morning. The pool was filthy! Most of the return jets were not working, thus the water was not circulating very well. There was dirt and mustard algae covering the bottom. Just gross! This is Memorial Day weekend, and the pool can't get cleaned on a major holiday? Oh, I almost forgot, the ice machine on the 2nd floor was empty! I had to find the one on the 3rd floor to get ice. No cameras covering the parking lot! While we were at the wedding, another guest had their wheels stolen off the car and it was left on cinder blocks. A police report was filed, I know because I spoke with the victim and the officer. Not the fault of HIE, but still, shouldn't there be cameras to monitor the parking lot and guests vehicles? There were so many problems with this location that I can only conclude that the problems I encountered are systemic and a result of corporate policies. I do believe that most people in our wedding party, including myself, will never stay in a HIE or affiliated property again. May 28, 2014

Hotel no longer offers a shuttle to the airport (even though it is published on website & hotel documents), generic computer software is not capable with most business files, room had burnt out light bulbs and no regular coffee packets. Front Desk Staff was nice enough, but could not or would not help me with my problems - management standing next to the desk agent had no interest in resolving the issues. The room rate that was already over priced, was even worse with an extra $30 taxi fare for a 10 minute ride to the airport. May 13, 2014

I didn't sleep a wink all night due to the traffic noise of semi trucks all night along Hwy 59. If we'd been on the opposite side of the building, I'm sure I would have had an excellent night's sleep. May 6, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoyable Short Stay We were visiting for just 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Our rooms were at the front of the hotel which means we did get quite a lot of noise from the highway, but it wasn't a major problem. Free breakfast was good. We were able to use the shuttle service to go to and from the Deerbrook Mall when it wasn't on an airport run which was a real bonus. It was a shame the pool area wasn't open - we would have liked to have sat out there even if we didn't swim. Having a Denny's right next door was a plus for us. February 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Much better than expected We stayed here for one night for a 14 hour flight layover. Hotel staff made us feel very welcome. The room was great - huge and all amenities (fridge, sink, coffee maker, microwave). We had an early morning departure and the staff made sure that breakfast was ready at 5.45am (it was not meant to start until 6am) for us so we had a hot breakfast before we departed. Highly recommend this hotel. We will stay here again if we have another flight layover in Houston. Thank you to all of you February 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean room and comfortable bed. I had a four night stay and found the facilities met my needs. Coffee was always hot and plentful and the serve staff was friendly. Good variety of food for breakfast and was plentful. My only suggestion for improvement would be in the area of houskeeping. The first floor corridor carpet was not vacuumed one time during my stay and the elevator walls and floor were filty. Trust you will take this as constructive discontent and correct this matter immediately. February 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A sho short stay but I need it After long two fligts with several delays I arrived at the hotel at 7am... and the nicest girls at the reception made me forgot my awfull flights... I've had a full rest for a few hours and then came back to the airport... Breakfast was ok but I missed some items like yogurth or granola... For the rest it was good. For a short stay it was good... The unique thing I suggest is an airport shuttle service ;) January 5, 2014

However, the last two times I have stayed here, it seems the staff is less than friendly. I will not go on a limb and say they were outright rude, but made me feel that any question I asked was an inconvenience. The owner of this property would be doing himself justice by either re-training the front counter staff to be more friendly or replacing those with less than stellar attitudes. I will keep staying here due to the location, good wifi, and cleanliness of the property. November 19, 2013

Pass on staying at this hotel until they can get there act together....I arrived at about 10:30 PM getting the last room available for my configured reservation. Getting ready for bed and pulling the sheets back, on the crisp white sheets were black hairs. Ok make the most of it. Got some sleep and when going to take a shower the next morning, the shower was broke and didn't work...so make the most of it. When checking out, the attendant asked me how things were and I said "unfortunately not good". After describing the two problems my sympathy was "sorry have a good day". No offer for anything and off other duties. I had to say what about some kind of discount since this is not what I was paying for. The response was "we don't give discounts but here is a coupon for almost half off your next stay". Like I would come back to this place again after getting taken advantage of once?? If they would have offered a discount comparable to the quality of service, I would be inclined to return and give a second chance at full price. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, according to the desk clerk you do not want a room on the front of the hotel because of the noise level from the highway being very disturbing. STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK....maybe its a management issue that can be fixed. November 13, 2013
