Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dissatisfied customer There were no luggage carts available when we checked in and the front desk person could not find them. The counter around the sink was dusty. The bed was not very comfortable. I looked around for the pancake machine at breakfast. When I found it, it was broken. The juice machine was not able to dispense orange juice so there was a sign that the juice was in the refrigerator. June 30, 2014

It may not be new and perfect it does has a few flaws but it does have alot of good benefits as well. It has a lot of restaurant choices within walking distance; shopping and even a couple of movie theaters close by. It is right off of I-70. I found it to be a great stopping point. We arrived late in the evening and was off early the next morning trying to get home. However what time we were there was great. Manager Bryan and his excellent staff consistently strive to provide outstanding service and a homey atmosphere at this well-situated Holiday Inn Express. Although this is not the newest Holiday Inn, the hotel is planning on soon undergoing a remodeling and once done, this will be tops in every way. The staff is great, breakfasts are dependably good with a variety of selections, the hotel is quiet, and the price is right. Although I only stayed 2 weeks, I noticed that many guests are either long-term or frequent visitors. Hats off to Bryan, Rachel, and all of the gang for doing things right. June 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay with great food close Very clean hotel, from the pool to the rooms. The staff went out of there way to make sure of our comfort. One afternoon, i was looking for a paper and the lobby didn't have one. I ask the guy at the front desk if they were out, and he told me yes but he thought he could find one. I left for a short time, and when i came back to the room, there was a paper at my door. I called the desk and thanked him. June 23, 2014

The staff was very nice and helpful and could not have been better. they were able to tell us a very nice restaurant to eat at when we arrived and we had an excellent meal. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CLEAN, FRIENDLY STAFF, COMFY ACCOMODATIONS I travel from Texas to Pennsylvania twice a year and always schedule timing on one of my nights en route to stay at this particular Holiday Inn Express. Holiday Inn Express In General is my hotel of choice when traveling because of the amenities, quality of the free breakfast, and (most important) their comfortable beds. This PARTICULAR location impressed me as it felt as if the staff works as a team and they are invariable professional, welcoming, and eager to please. June 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable room and friendly staff Our room was very comfortable and we were impressed that each bed was equipped with 2 'soft' pillows and 2 'firm' pillows so you could choose your preference - we'd never seen this offered at a hotel before. Our room was very clean. The staff was very helpful in giving directions to a neighboring town and offered good choices for breakfast outside the hotel since we woke too late for breakfast there. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst hotel experience We had to stay 3 nights at this property did to area hotels being booked. We will not stay here again. Upon arriving into our room our air condition was not working properly. We did notify staff but they did not have a room to switch us to due to a full hotel. We also were not excited about this option, it was already late and we had to be at soccer game at 7:15 the next morning. At some point during the night air eventually came on and all was well...or so we thought. The second morning the air was again not working properly. It was actually cooler in the hall then it was in our room. We again told staff. They did move us to different room, but what a pain. The pool and hot tub were less than average. Breakfast choices in the morning were few and far between. Ice machines on every floor were not working at all! It was so bad I had to ask the front desk for ice and they had to fill my ice bucket with ice from their office. My family and I travel a lot for travel sports and vacations. Holiday Inn Express and suites is usually out first choice. After this experience, I will be rethinking our choice. Not to mention, we are all now sick from the temperature issues in the room. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding staff We did run into a couple of issues, but the staff (Chris and Rachel specifically) were able to help us with the resolution. In the state of Ohio, smoking is allowed in hotels. This hotel has 3 smoking rooms. Ours was not one of those but was nearby so our room had an unpleasant odor. They put an ozone machine in our room while we were out to dinner along with a neutralizing spray and there was a HUGE difference. Unfortunately, they ran out of rollaways and the hotel was completely booked. With 5 in the room, our youngest made a makeshift bed out of the chair in the room and the padded luggage bench for 2 nights. Chris apologized profusely and gave us a break on the rate due to the inconvenience this caused. We needed a 3rd night, and the hotel was not as full that night, so Rachel had snagged a suite to give us a room that would sleep 6. This totally made our stay end on a high note!! I felt the staff went above and beyond to make sure that the wrongs had been righted with us. There were some small inconveniences such as the ice machines either breaking down or running out of ice. There was none to be had unless you went to the desk as they had bought some to have. No cinnamon rolls at breakfast which disappointed the kids. I would love to see more gluten free options as breakfast as well. May 28, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cutomers First??? Maid entered room without knocking while we were present, then explained the room was listed as unavailable so she thought no one should be in it. Besides the obvious question, 'then why enter a room that is prepared, but should not have been rented?' the staff needs to get there 'stuff' together and figure out what rooms are occupied and not enter a customer's room without authorization - much less without knocking first. a blatant disregard for our family's privacy and security. Staff needs to not park in the covered entry and make it available, instead, to customers. For example, mid-shift employee parked there for entire shift, leaving customers to park away from door when checking in and unloading/loading luggage. I think the customers convenience should come before tour employees'. April 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable room, courteous staff, but terrible WiFi I've stayed in many Holiday Inn Express properties (Priority Club membership); this one was pretty well-run and the front desk staff member was welcoming and courteous, even though I checked in after midnight. My only complaint: the WiFi was terrible! I was hardly able to get a signal in my room at all; when I called twice to the front desk to report the problem, the staff member was nice enough but had no real solution, nor was there any follow-up. This hotel gave us the feel of a 6 star hotel. The room and the entrance had the look and feel of something far more than the amount of money that was charged. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 12/27 stay This was a nice hotel--but I don't know why it was desgined to have rooms DIRECTLY across from the elevators which we happened to get. Not that the staff could help having a rude group of people staying that smoked up the halls and were loud, it made for a terrible nights sleep because they kept using the elevator and did not take into account that people might be sleeping at 11:30 and later! I think the staff should advise anyone checking in to be courteous of others after say 9 and 10 pm with others that might be sleeping near the elevators. January 2, 2014
