Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ValuSeekr Comfortable Despite Construction
I chose this location as a stop en route from East Coast to TX because the hotel was offering one night's stay using half the usual Priority Club points due to ongoing construction. I had a good sleep and meal and good service overall, despite the construction.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and I have enjoyed it each time without a single issue. Thanks for another great stay!

We were tired from driving all day when we pulled in to the Holiday Inn Express - Oh no! There were few trucks, men with hardhats, construction fences, fresh cement around the pool. I immediately had visions of jackhammers at all hours, headache from paint fumes, etc, etc - all for naught. They went to great pains to not let the work be intrusive! We had a nice needed quiet rest in a very clean room and were greeted the next morning by a courtious staff with smiling faces. The coffee was great, and the breakfast just right to stoke the fires for another day's drive. Thank you!

Room was nice, but hotel was under renovation, so no elevator, and part of hotel was blocked off, did not hear any noise though

I only needed to stay a few hours, I had worked 24 hours straight and had to be back in 5 hours. I usually stay at HIExpress because of the great service. But I would have never stayed if I had known the elevator was broken, I could go across the street and pay half the price and carry my luggage up the stairs. The desk clerk should have told me of the broken elevator before selling me the room. As for the room, it was musty and the towels were smelly. The breakfast had plenty of food, but the hot foods were not hot enough.
Next time I need a few hours sleep, I will go elsewhere.

This hotel isn't up to the standards of other Holiday Inn Express locations I have stayed at. The entrance drive was muddy with water flowing over it. The sign wasn't lit with temporary signs stating "WE ARE OPEN". There is no elevator. The room smelled quite musty. The mattress wasn't very comfortable, etc.
The front desk staff was very friendly, gave good advice for area restaurants, and couldn't have done better.
There aren't a lot of choices in this area, so this may be your best bet, but just know that this isn't a bright, new, cheery Holiday Inn Express.

I have never stayed at a hotel with more than one floor which didn't have an elevator. It was very inconvenient to carry my bags up and down the stairs, especially since it took more than one trip. The hotel was also being renovated but all of that was outside in the pool area which really didn't affect my stay. Hopefully they are in the process of adding an elevator.
Also the first room I was given was on the first floor however the bath tub water could not be turned off and it was running hard. I was told there were no more 1st floor rooms so I had to move upstairs.
