I am generally very happy staying at Holiday Inn chains. I was disapointed this trip. I travel a lot, and out of concern for my waistline, I love walking on the treadmill. The fitness room was not open due to construction. In addition, there was no elevator and I was traveling with a 70 year old woman who had a heavy suitcase. There wasn't assistance offered to get her bag to the second floor. Just disapointing overall.

The reason I say a work in progress is that they are updating there hotel, (under construction) pool is out door which was close also under construction. but the customer service is great, welcoming. there were a new desk worker that didn't know how to check us in, but after waiting for a while she finally got up taken cared of. the room was clean, needs a little paint touch up, cold, and curtains block the sun out real good made the room dark like night. the breakfast was hot and ready. you press a button to make the pancakes to come out a maker. the eat area is really small but was not to bad there weren't to many people. the lobby area, sorry to say is very dusty it needs a bad wipe down but from the out side looking in looks very nice and inviting. office area is very small its just one computer on printer on the side of the wall so you must stand. parking is not to bad there light and cameras all around so its safe. its also up on a hill that is over looking the other motels and Loretta lynns kitchen.

Chelse, I believe has her name. Was very curtious and helpful. The hotel is very fortunate to have an individual with her personality and professionalism.. Even though the hotel was presently remodeling and upgrading, they keep it very clean and presentiable.

Even though this motel was under construction, you did not notice it during the evening hours and it did not stop the fine service we were provided.
When construction is complete I believe this motel will be very accommodating.

Lobby being remodeled. Pool out of service due to remodeling. Everything else was just fine and they were giving good discount to make up for the mess. Good service from staff.

BREAKFAST WAS DECENT WITH ADEQUATE SELECTIONS--WE

Had a good stay and would stay there again. Under renovations so there was a couple of annoying things but no problem. Should look nice when the renovation is complete.

Thanks to the fine staff for the good service. Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The location was ideal mileage wise to give us a driving break and rest on the last leg of our two week journey.

I chose this location as a stop en route from East Coast to TX because the hotel was offering one night's stay using half the usual Priority Club points due to ongoing construction. I had a good sleep and meal and good service overall, despite the construction.

We were tired from driving all day when we pulled in to the Holiday Inn Express - Oh no! There were few trucks, men with hardhats, construction fences, fresh cement around the pool. I immediately had visions of jackhammers at all hours, headache from paint fumes, etc, etc - all for naught. They went to great pains to not let the work be intrusive! We had a nice needed quiet rest in a very clean room and were greeted the next morning by a courtious staff with smiling faces. The coffee was great, and the breakfast just right to stoke the fires for another day's drive. Thank you!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by sorryistayed Do not book until elevator is fixed!
I only needed to stay a few hours, I had worked 24 hours straight and had to be back in 5 hours. I usually stay at HIExpress because of the great service. But I would have never stayed if I had known the elevator was broken, I could go across the street and pay half the price and carry my luggage up the stairs. The desk clerk should have told me of the broken elevator before selling me the room. As for the room, it was musty and the towels were smelly. The breakfast had plenty of food, but the hot foods were not hot enough.
Next time I need a few hours sleep, I will go elsewhere.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AtlantaTraveller Not Up to Standard
This hotel isn't up to the standards of other Holiday Inn Express locations I have stayed at. The entrance drive was muddy with water flowing over it. The sign wasn't lit with temporary signs stating "WE ARE OPEN". There is no elevator. The room smelled quite musty. The mattress wasn't very comfortable, etc.
The front desk staff was very friendly, gave good advice for area restaurants, and couldn't have done better.
There aren't a lot of choices in this area, so this may be your best bet, but just know that this isn't a bright, new, cheery Holiday Inn Express.

I have never stayed at a hotel with more than one floor which didn't have an elevator. It was very inconvenient to carry my bags up and down the stairs, especially since it took more than one trip. The hotel was also being renovated but all of that was outside in the pool area which really didn't affect my stay. Hopefully they are in the process of adding an elevator.
Also the first room I was given was on the first floor however the bath tub water could not be turned off and it was running hard. I was told there were no more 1st floor rooms so I had to move upstairs.

Moving to area, best place around for temporary living. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great; hot eggs, biscuit & meat gravity and sausge or bacon. OHHH, I loved the smell of bacon in the morning. Pancake machine works great.
