Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Property would not honor rewards points. Oct 24-25 2014. Hurst, Texas I am a Platinum Elite member with over 268,000 points. The Hurst, Texas property front desk connected me to IHG to make my rewards reservations. I was advised at this time HIE Hurst would not accept my rewards. No reason given. My wife and grand daughter were in Hurst for a function and the room was for them. They went ahead and checked in and put the room on a credit. IHG Rewards tried to contact a manager and none could be located. This was Sat and Sunday. The night auditor advised my wife had check out Sunday 10-25 as planned so they were unable to honor rewards points. Front desk was not friendly and or helpful. I contacted IHG today October 28 and the still have not been able to contact a manager. October 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty, sorry customer service There were several issues that were not handled. The carpet was very dirty, the shower grout had black mold, the room smelled musty. One evening we came back to find our room smelled like smoke. We had been gone for ~13 hours. In summary, a cruddy culture that seems to promote a lack of concern for clients. When we asked to have the carpet cleaned, they said they would need to move us. Really? You can't just spot clean? Upon check out we were told they could spot clean.... We have had guests stay at the Kemah, TX. HIE and been very pleased. Obviously, excellence is not valued at all locations. So be wary when considering HIE. Other than the Kemah, TX location, I will probably never consider a HIE again. October 24, 2014
