Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Guest Exkperience We enjoyed out two nights at this Holiday Inn Express--the staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to help us. They answered all of our questions, and made us feel very comfortable. it was very clean and we felt very comfortable and safe staying there. We were thankful for the Shuttle ride to the Metro--this made our trip into D.C. stress free. Both drivers were so friendly, answering all of our questions, etc. Thank you! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent and clean Overall, the stay was nice. Easy to find off of the parkway, but not a lot of things in area near the hotel like stores and restaurants. Room was nice. The only thing that I didn't like was that the bathroom didn't have a fan to use while showering and the lighting was a little off-too low. But, very satisfied with everything. May 12, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel that needs updates The staff of the hotel was very nice, friendly, and attentive. However, the hotel itself was one of the worst Holiday Inn's I have stayed in. The hallway of the hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and the rooms smelled like there was an odor someone attempted to cover with Lysol. The hotel is in need of updates in furniture, new carpet, etc. It is dated. There were also a large number of homeless people in the area wandering the parking lot. I would not stay here again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ramseys i travel for business and pleasure a lot and prefer to stay at Holiday Inn Express and another hotel chain. I am a IHG club member.This is the first bad experience I have had with Holiday Inn Express. 1st, I asked for two connecting rooms when I made the reservation. The person said that would be no problem. I even called a week before my visit and the front desk said I would have connecting rooms guaranteed. when I got to the holel, I was informed that the rooms were not connecting but were beside each other. This was unacceptable and had I been told this in the front end, I would have made my reservations else where. The 2nd issue was the hotel was not up to the standard I have been accustomed to. This appears to have been a refurbished hotel that Holiday Inn express purchased from some other chain. Third-The holel should have told me they had a bus load of Junior high students that were at the hotel when I booked the room. As kids are, they were up all night and the noise was extremely loud. In the future I will only stay at Holiday Inn Express when I have no other choice. I simply expected more from HIE. April 27, 2015
