Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Get their words in writing Nice room, nice beds, clean and comfortable, that's why we chose to stay at holiday inn express. We knew the rooms would be nice and clean with comfortable beds. However, the staff did not help. We came up the night before a medical procedure and notified the staff during check in that we might need another night depending on the outcome of the procedure. The front desk staff during check in said that they were full, however, he knew of some cancelations and could accommodate us. He told us to let them know if we needed another night no later than 2 pm the following day. We did not take his name down or get this statement in writing because we felt that he knew our needs and could accommodate us as he stated. The next day came and the doctors decided we needed to stay one more night. We rang the hotel before 2 pm to notify them that we needed another night. The front desk staff stated that they were completely booked and could not accommodate us. We told them that we talked to the front desk staff the night before during check in that there was some cancelations and we could be accommodated for. The staff asked if we knew who it was that told us that or if we had the room reserved. We said that we didn't know who it was that checked us in and we thought that he used our card to reserve another night. However, that was not the case. The staff simply said that they were completely booked and could not accommodate us and eagerly ended the phone call. We ended up staying in a competitors hotel instead, whose staff was much more accommodating. July 27, 2014

I have never had a negative experience at any of my stays at any of the properties, however was shocked that there were "smoking" rooms, but did not smell any smoke nor see any of "them". The Chocolate Coconut cookies at the front desk were amazing and we would go back just to get some of those cookies. Wendie was very helpful in assisting us to find information on road closures enroute to our destination at Yellowstone. The hotel was clean and quiet with the friendliest staff. July 21, 2014

This hotel offered the cleanest, most up to date room out of all other hotel rooms we stayed at over the course of those three weeks. The staff was super friendly and met all of our requests for assistance. If we had a Holiday Inn Express at all of the locations we went to, it would have been our first choice above all others.
